Back in August, I shared two ways to style the same white tank and polka dot shorts just by switching up the accessories. Since one of my favorite parts about fashion is rewearing items in new ways, I decided to take the same concept and do a fall version of the blog post! Check out my two super cute camo looks below, both featuring the same button down and skinny jeans but styled completely differently. Can I get a “whoot whoot” for that versatility? No? Okay.
Outfit 1
For the first outfit, I kept things sassy and casual with French braids in my hair, dainty gold jewelry, and a brown belt and boots. To rock some cute fall layers, I decided to leave the camo button-down open over a black camisole. This outfit would be so stylish for going to the pumpkin patch, plus the boots are washable in case it’s muddy. Not to mention, the colors of the shirt and fun bag complement the colors of the changing leaves perfectly!
This is actually the outfit I wore on Friday that I forgot to photograph for last week’s capsule wardrobe OOTDs. I’ve only worn this shirt once on the blog before, way back in 2016 as one of my first blog posts, so be sure to check out the cringy-ness here.
Camo Button-Down: Hand-me-down, last worn here | Black Cami: JCPenney, $6, last worn here | Skinny Jeans: Francesca’s, $20, last worn here | Brown Booties: DSW, $25, last worn here | Maroon Circle Purse: Nordstrom Rack, $50, last worn here
Outfit 2
And now, onto the dolled up, badass version of this outfit! I decided to leave the camo top buttoned this time, and I tucked the front into my jeans to show off this fab pearl belt. I also layered a sparkly statement necklace beneath the collar and paired the look with my favorite white mules (are you sick of seeing them yet??). But the showstopper of this outfit, obviously, is this studded leather jacket. This is the jacket I won in a giveaway back in August that originally cost upwards of $315! It looks and feels so luxe, and the camo shirt really brings out the green/gold color in the shoulders of the jacket.
This look makes me feel like the editor of some high-class fashion magazine, and I love that! I would definitely wear this outfit out to dinner or even just to class, since I’m “extra” like that. Although, the lipstick is a little futile in this day and age, what with the face masks and all.
Camo Button-Down: Hand-me-down, last worn here | Leather Jacket: Gracie’s Boutique in Denver, won in a giveaway | Skinny Jeans: Francesca’s, $20, last worn here | Pearl Belt: Francesca’s, $5, last worn here | White Mules: Rebecca Minkoff via Saks Off Fifth, $70, last worn here | Black Fringe Purse: Unknown, $50, last worn here
Which of these two outfits is your favorite?? Do you prefer more casual looks, or would you rock the dolled-up version? I’m keeping things short and sweet for today’s blog post ’cause I gotta run to class. In fact, I don’t know that I’ve ever written such a short post! I’m going to give myself a little pat on the back, since usually I write way too much.
Anyway, I hope you have a great Thursday!
Miles of smiles,
Grace
It’s amazing how we can rewear the same clothing items and make them appear different just by switching accessories, shoes etc. You should work as a personal stylist, Grace. I’m always impressed by your ability to put together such fantastic outfits. And I have to say – those autumn colours in your latest photos are truly stunning 🍁🍂 Thanks for sharing and have a good day 😀 Aiva
Thank you so much, Aiva! That would be an incredible job, and I would absolutely love it. You’re right – I should definitely look into it. Thank you for the encouragement!
Oh I love the first one but oh that jacket is pretty awesome! Love how changing your hairstyle really changes the look too. And I had to hop on to that old post. Yo can definitely tell an amazing difference in the photography. You have gotten really good. Your maturity and growth shows in your writing too.

Grace, this camo top is amazing! And it looks so great buttoned up or left open. And how cool is that leather jacket! Both outfits are so great, but the leather jacket one is my favorite! So cute and totally badass. Love all of your accessories, too! Thanks for linking with me, my friend.
