Every time I sit down to write one of these monthly posts, I always want to start it with, “Can you believe the month is already over?!” I guess it never ceases to amaze me how fast time flies. Aside from finishing my finals at the beginning of the month, I’ve done a whole lot of nothin’ in December. I’m sure I’ll regret not accomplishing anything by the time I go back to school (like starting my scrapbook, sewing myself an apron, etc.), but as of right now, I’m really enjoying being a couch potato. By now it’s probably no surprise that I love any excuse to celebrate… That means birthdays, achievements, holidays, and yes, even Valentine’s Day, regardless of relationship status. I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about Valentine’s Day, but I urge you to at the very least do something nice for yourself. It could be as simple as writing a list of all the things you love about YOU! Cheesy, I know, but sometimes we really need to just take a second to appreciate all of the things we have achieved and all of the things we do like about ourselves; too often we get sucked into a whirlpool of disappointment and negativity.
