One Blazer, Two Ways

Today I wanted to showcase how to style a blazer for work and for a night out! While I’ve always loved dressing up and wore something “work appropriate” almost every day in high school, I feel like several of my college friends are just now delving into the world of professional attire as we start to do interviews, participate in internships, and look for jobs after college. It can be a pain in the butt to buy something you only think you’ll wear for an interview or a job, which is why I want to show all my fellow high school and college gals how to make the most of that blazer for any event. My Fashion Bucket List

Today marks the last day of this year’s “virtual” Fall Fashion Week in New York City. As I understand it, 2020’s NYFW started September 13th and has included a mix of virtual shows and even a few in-person runway events with very limited audiences. I’ve never been one to actually “follow” fashion (and clearly I don’t keep up with that many trends), but I’ve still always dreamed of attending fashion week. The glitz, the glam, the free goody bags… What can I say, it all sounds pretty awesome. (Although, based on what I’ve heard from “real” fashion bloggers and even based on my own experience at Denver Fashion Week, it seems that the glamour and allure of fashion week might be a fallacy.) But nonetheless, I still hope to go someday! So, in celebration of this fashion-filled month, I decided to round-up a post of my fashion-related bucket list items. Maybe I can’t do them just yet, but someday soon I’ll be back in the world and struttin’ my stuff! Continue reading “My Fashion Bucket List”

My Back to School Shopping Wishlist

Today’s blog post is being published a little later than usual because my parents and I were out late last night partying—clearly, “partying” and “parents” naturally go in the same sentence. In reality, we spent the night at a socially distanced dinner with our good family friends, which was an absolute blast, and we stayed much later than I expected, laughing and telling stories about the weirdest teachers we had in middle school… So I just couldn’t bring myself to write and pre-schedule today’s blog post at 1 in the morning last night. BUT with school starting and the change of the seasons, I wanted to share with you all what I’ve been craving lately in terms of possible additions to my closet. With Labor Day just around the corner, I’m hoping to nab some of these pieces during a sale! Continue reading “My Back to School Shopping Wishlist”
