December 2020 Month in Review

Every time I sit down to write one of these monthly posts, I always want to start it with, “Can you believe the month is already over?!” I guess it never ceases to amaze me how fast time flies. Aside from finishing my finals at the beginning of the month, I’ve done a whole lot of nothin’ in December. I’m sure I’ll regret not accomplishing anything by the time I go back to school (like starting my scrapbook, sewing myself an apron, etc.), but as of right now, I’m really enjoying being a couch potato. Happy (almost) New Year! It’s hard to believe we’re already about to start another year AND another decade. How does New Year’s always sneak up on me?! I haven’t spent any time reflecting yet or pondering what goals I want to set for 2020, but I have, of course, had this amazing flapper outfit planned for quite some time now… How could I not rock a flapper outfit on NYE when we’re entering the Roaring 20s again? Strutting Fearlessly Into the New Year

Today I want to delve head-first into one of my favorite topics, something I often think about but have yet to address on the blog: fear. But before I jump into that scary stuff (see what I did there?), I want to mention how perfect this outfit would be for New Year’s Eve. As I’ve mentioned in the past, I never really have an appropriate venue to wear an all-out sequin dress with severe makeup and an edgy hairstyle; usually, my NYE consists of having an awesome movie marathon with my family and popping those Martinelli’s bottles at midnight. Cozy and casual, but not without its sparkles. Because duh—whether you’re just chilling with friends and family at home, going blacklight bowling, or attending your city’s most “extra” NYE party, a sparkly outfit to ring in the new year is a must. {Sparkly sweater + favorite skinny jeans + glitzy accessories = outfit perfection.} Continue reading “Strutting Fearlessly Into the New Year”
