Another week of crazy Colorado weather… It’s now a pattern that we get snowstorms and temperatures in the single digits on Wednesdays, followed by spring-like temps on the weekends. It’s currently 60° and sunny! Even though I took Monday off, it was a busy week at work, and I didn’t do anything blog related. I’m excited to do a little catch-up today and hopefully make a Reel or two this evening.

My boyfriend and I woke up to the gorgeous mountain views at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort for our little weekend getaway. We grabbed breakfast at the restaurant on-site and then lounged in one of the smaller hot springs pools all morning, watching a storm roll in over the mountains. We hit the road mid-afternoon and made the 2.5 hour drive back to Denver. It was such a fun and relaxing one-night trip, and I think I might share a blog post review in the coming week. I, of course, spent most of today in a swimsuit but threw this outfit on for the drive home.

Mireille of Chez Mireille tagged me at the beginning of the week to participate in a style challenge where I would have to wear a dress every day for seven days. I fully intended to participate, hence my blue and black patterned shift dress, but when I saw negative temperatures in the forecast… I chickened out. This ended up being the only dress I wore all week, but I think I might try to participate next week instead!

I woke up to snow and subzero temperatures, so I decided to work from home… not even getting dressed. It’s a very bad habit! I need to start putting on real clothes on the weekends and the rare days that I work from my apartment.

I worked from home in the morning and then made the trek to the office, even though our campus was technically closed today due to the weather. Because I didn’t have any client meetings, I decided to wear this cute green felt hat and a (nearly) matching scarf. I didn’t wear my hair in a braid though—the braid looks kind of stupid with the hat. Since it’s usually too dark by the time I get home from work to take my OOTD photos, I have been taking them in bulk on Saturdays or Sundays—hence why my braid is the same in all the photos.

Friday, February 24

I got to go on a field trip for work today! A few coworkers and I drove to a nearby town to conduct a focus group at a high school, and we all grabbed lunch together afterwards. It was super fun to get out of the office and get to know some of my coworkers better. I’ve worn this sweater and trouser combo before (with the blue coat from Tuesday’s outfit) but this is the first time I tried wearing my Vivaia booties with the capri pants. They were a much warmer option than the white mules I usually wear with this look, but I definitely prefer flats with the pants.

I spent the morning finishing the fourth season of “Breaking Bad” and then met up with my aunt for a fashion show! A couple of local boutiques (Aspen Lane, The Momma Hive, and Kate & Grace Boutique) were hosting a shopping event and modeling some of their clothes. It was a great time sipping, shopping, and watching the ladies strut down the makeshift runway. It felt very spring-like out, so I opted for this suede embroidered skirt, an olive green bodysuit, and a denim jacket. I love this outfit, especially with the green earrings and rust-colored lipstick.

Afterwards, we grabbed dinner with the rest of my aunt’s family, and then I started packing for my trip to Puerto Rico—I didn’t even realize it but I leave a week from Tuesday!

Sunday, February 26

I slept in, watched some more “Breaking Bad”, and then went on a walk with my boyfriend. I don’t have any plans for the rest of the day aside from doing laundry and finishing up some blog work. This outfit is another new combo that I really love—the sweater pairs so well with my cowgirl boots!

Which of this week’s outfits is your favorite? I’m torn between Saturday’s and Sunday’s. As always, thanks for stopping by the blog today, and I hope you had a great week.

Miles of smiles,
Grace

    1. Thanks Mireille! Yah, cowgirl boots are definitely a splurge item… But I’ve seen a few pairs in thrift stores so maybe you’ll be in luck!
