Y’ello! I’m keeping things short and sweet for you today (such a rarity, I know) because I’m writing this on Saturday morning, July 10th, before heading out to camp. You know how I like to leave things for the last minute… Anyway, I took these photos on campus back in Denver at the beginning of June. They’re not my favorite pics ever, but have you noticed I’ve started dabbling in slightly warmer tones for my photos lately? I used to be all about the cool tones, but I’m reaching for brown + orange tints more and more during the summer. Although, I can assure you this change in color/editing is completely unintentional because I still do not understand photography or lighting in the slightest.

I have been wearing these denim shorts from Target nonstop since I got them at the beginning of last month. I have been wanting to try them on with all of my cute summer tops! Of course, since I’ve been wearing them so much, they’re already fraying more on the bottoms than intended. That’s what I get for falling for the raw hem. But hey, that style is just so cute and trendy right now!

This striped olive green tee has been another favorite over the years, and it makes for a cute casual or travel outfit when paired with these denim shorts. This is a very summery look with the brown sandals and circle purse, but I could also imagine the tee and shorts combo paired with sassy sneakers and a ballcap for a busy day of exploring a city while on vacation. Or even just for running errands? This tee and these shorts could create several outfits for various occasions, depending on the accessories and shoes.

Instead of a plain brown belt, I decided to spice up this otherwise drab outfit with a leopard belt. Something about stripes and leopard paired together reminds me so much of the early fashion blogger days, in the mid-2010s, where everybody dressed sort of preppy with cute pattern mixing and big statement necklaces. I miss that style. Heck, I still wear it myself, even if it makes me look dated and the exact opposite of trendy. Leopard and stripes forevvvvvva.

Unfortunately, last Thursday was another linkup missed due to my poor time management skills. Is it even worth apologizing anymore? I’ve missed the linkup so many dang times and it still doesn’t even have a name… Ugh. I’m trying to get the hang of it. Anyway, be sure to add all your best posts below:

Also, did I mention that I am writing this blog post on two hours of sleep? If it’s riddled with typos and/or makes no sense, then now you know why. A sign of my dedication to getting this linkup up today, no matter how bad the actual blog post is.

Well that’s enough of this nonsense. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a great weekend!

  1. Don’t beat yourself up about the blog and enjoy camp! Love the belt with this outfit, I still can’t believe I didn’t wear belts for so many years and this year, I reach for them all of the time. My leopard one hit the trash so I need to be on the lookout for one in the fall.

    1. I am really trying to expand my belt collection! I want a metal ring belt for dressier outfits and a wide wicker type waist belt for summery dresses.

  2. Such a nice, natural look. I love the leopard print belt with the rest of the outfit.
