Study Abroad Semester in Review

For all my talk about study abroad, I realized I never went in-depth about the classes I took and what I learned. So, like I’ve done for some of my quarters at the University of Denver, I wanted to share a little recap about the four classes I took at the University of Glasgow and what I learned in each. If you read my blog post about differences in education between the U.S. and Scotland, then you probably already know I was a little disappointed with the academic aspect of my study abroad experience. Leopard + Linen for the Summertime

I’m teaming up with the other seven ladies of the Magnificent 8 again today to showcase that you can’t put an age on style. This quarter’s theme is ‘linen’, and boy did I have to dig deep! As much as I love the idea of linen shorts or billowy white linen pants for the summertime, I don’t own any such pieces, and I actually thought I might have to go buy something to fulfill the theme. I admit that I’m not well-versed in my fabrics, but I just so happened to wear this beige dress to work a few weeks ago—the thought crossed my mind to check the tag, and lucky for me, it was linen! Subtle Pattern Mixing (+Linkup)

Y’ello! I’m keeping things short and sweet for you today (such a rarity, I know) because I’m writing this on Saturday morning, July 10th, before heading out to camp. You know how I like to leave things for the last minute… Anyway, I took these photos on campus back in Denver at the beginning of June. They’re not my favorite pics ever, but have you noticed I’ve started dabbling in slightly warmer tones for my photos lately? I used to be all about the cool tones, but I’m reaching for brown + orange tints more and more during the summer. Although, I can assure you this change in color/editing is completely unintentional because I still do not understand photography or lighting in the slightest.
