Denver-Wash-Park-cloudy-day-walking

Happy weekend! Per usual, I’m sharing my outfits from the past week in today’s blog post, including a preppy pink look that would be super cute for Valentine’s Day. I didn’t do anything too exciting or interesting this week, but I finally got back into my exercise grind and went on several walks with friends. Just what I needed! The groundhog may have declared six more weeks of winter, but it sure feels like spring is coming. Now, onto the outfits!

I wear this sweater basically once a week, but what can I say, it’s a closet staple! I wish I had bought it in more colors. I think a lot of the pieces in my closet are patterned and I don’t have enough solid staple items, which is why I reach for this light pink sweater so often. It just goes with everything. I tried to cook raw chicken for the first time tonight and boy was it an ordeal. I have a LOT to learn when it comes to cooking, ha!

I had a midterm in my Climate Change and Society class today for which I was really nervous, but I think it ended up going okay (haven’t gotten the grade back yet). It was SO gorgeous out and in the mid-60s! The perfect day to pull out this textured blue skirt from Francesca’s. For our regular Tuesday night dinners, my boyfriend and I made spaghetti and garlic bread—mmm.

Wednesday, February 3

I love Wednesdays because I just have one class and then can spend the rest of the day getting work done. I had a meeting with my boss at 12:30 and did homework and blog stuff all afternoon, as well as going on a walk with my friend (the first pic in today’s post!). I’ve never worn this shift dress with my white mules before but I really liked the two together.

Thursday, February 4

I had three classes today and went on a walk with my boyfriend after school. It turned out to be so windy and cold! We made dinner together afterwards and started the third season of “The Crown”, which is when the actors change for the first time—I’m not a fan so far. We also grabbed DQ as a start-of-the-weekend treat! In other news, I really don’t like this outfit. The grey in the tights don’t quite match the grey in the sweater, and the tights are so thick that they always seem kind of unflattering. Ah well. I linked some cuter, thinner polka dot tights in the widget below!

Friday, February 5

I slept in for the first time in a longgg while and then worked all day on my two labs, one for Remote Sensing and one for my Cartography course. My friend and I walked around a nearby park in the afternoon, and my roommate and I ordered takeout and had a movie night as her late 21st birthday celebration! I admittedly did not get dressed in real clothes all day…

. . . . .

Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? What about plans for the Super Bowl?? I gotta say, the Super Bowl is way more fun at home rather than when I’m away at college. I only like the event for the party-themed foods, like chicken wings and artichoke dip, but making those dishes for myself to watch the Super Bowl by myself just isn’t the same… Although we’ll see, I might still end up watching!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great Saturday.

Miles of smiles,
Grace

  1. I am trying to get back to consistent walking and running. But yeah old age: went for my first run in a few months yesterday and my shins started hurting at the end. Last time that happened I was out of commission for 2 weeks so I promptly went to get a new pair of running shoes ( I knew it was time) and I made sure to do better stretching today even though I only walked). I am going to have to pace myself but it felt so good to run! I really like the dress with the white mules, they made me think of white sneakers and the look is really cute.

    1. Thanks Mireille! And that’s good you got new shoes… I ran cross country in high school and having good shoes was always SO important to avoid injuries. It always hurts to get back into it but then feels so good!

  2. I love your Wednesday outfit. We are in the middle of a snow storm here. Or what we call it, as we don’t have snow usualy. Have s good Sunday.

  3. Oh your Wednesday outfit is my fave, the white shoes and the shift style has such a retro vibe and it’s the cutest! 🙂

Hope you’ve had a nice weekend no matter if you watched the superbowl or not 🙂
