There were just too many celebrations this weekend, between Derby Day, Star Wars Day, and Cinco de Mayo. Since I attended the Denver Mini Derby again this year on Saturday, I didn’t have an opportunity to dress up for May the Fourth Be with You—so I’ll just leave you with this iconic photo of my parents and me circa 2020. Because, in Covid times, you just had a whole day to waste coming up with costumes from items around the house (Luke’s “lightsaber” is a squirt gun and Hans’ weapon is a vacuum attachment). April 2024 Month in Review

It’s almost summer, baby!! I’m getting so excited for the warmer weather, late sunsets, and flowy dresses that categorize the season. And between a wedding, a weekend away with my friend, and a trip home to Boise, my calendar is already filling up! I do still really miss the days of a three-month summer break and that anticipation at the end of the school year, so I’m considering just taking a few days off work to do nothing as a mini vacation. I’ve only ever taken off work when I go out of town—but why not spend a few days sleeping in and being lazy around the house as if I were a kid again? Continue reading “April 2024 Month in Review”

Weekly Recap #17, 2024

I somehow didn’t take any photos this week, so I’m just reusing one from Tuesday’s photoshoot for today’s cover photo. My dad’s been in town this weekend, so we’ve been busy catching up, trying to squeeze in some fun despite the crappy weekend weather and going to my favorite Denver restaurant, Wash Park Grille. I also on a whim decided to start a 28-day wall Pilates challenge this week (yes, I saw a bunch of ads on Instagram which inspired me to find a free YouTube version), and I think it’s going well so far!
