My Style in Five Words

One of my blogger friends Mireille, of Chez Mireille, recently shared a blog post featuring the top five words that come to mind when describing her style. I thought it was such a fun idea, so today I’m brainstorming five words to describe my own sense of fashion and sharing examples of each! I’ve always considered my style to be very eclectic—I dress in all sorts of outfits rather than sticking to one theme or type of clothing—yet I still had a hard time coming up with words that best describe my mixed bag of a closet. A Trendy Date Night Outfit

It’s been a while since I shared a good ol’ fashioned outfit post, and this polka dot look might be one of my favorites. There’s just something so chic about red, black, and white together, and I thought the subtle pop of yellow was a fun twist to the classic combo. Wouldn’t this outfit be so cute for a dinner date?! Why I’m Not a Trendy Shopper

As I was sitting down last night to start working on today’s blog post, I realized I’m wearing the same mom jeans in today’s outfit as I did in Monday’s post (whoops). Usually I try to space out sharing similar items on the blog so that it doesn’t seem like I’m wearing the same outfit over and over again. But then I realized, why shouldn’t I post these jeans back-to-back? In real life, I usually wear the same pair of jeans a couple of times in the same week before washing them, so it shouldn’t be any different on my blog (which is about, of course, affordable and ‘realistic’ fashion).
