Trend Tester Series: The Circle Bag

I’m usually not one for following trends, mostly because I don’t go shopping enough to keep up with the constantly changing atmosphere of fashion, but there have been a few lately I’ve been dying to get my hands on. Enter: the circle bag. I think circle bags first became popular a few years ago with Mansur Gavriel’s classic purse, which every high-end blogger and her sister had. Thankfully, these fun circular totes have finally made it to the mainstream—meaning they’re affordable for the everyday gal to purchase. Over the next few weeks I’ll be testing out some trends for y’all, so you don’t have to, and determining whether they “pass” or “fail.” I’m so excited to share this adorable burgundy pom pom circle purse as my first trend. Gift Guides: I Don’t Think So

Even though Thanksgiving still hasn’t arrived yet, it seems a lot of people are already preparing for Christmas! I don’t like to skip any holidays…but I must admit, all this Christmas cheer is making me pretty excited. Not to mention, the blogosphere has already been inundated with holiday-themed posts, Christmas music playing in the background of Instagram Stories, and gift guides galore. So many gift guides, in fact, that I feel no need to create any of my own. My Name’s BlurryFace and I *Don’t* Care What You Think

As I talked about in my Halloween costume post, last week I dressed up for Decades Day for my school’s homecoming celebration. I felt ecstatic when the email about the themed days was released—I immediately put aside all my homework and planned my outfits instead. I considered, briefly, that most other students wouldn’t even know about the dress up days because (shocker) they don’t check their emails. Sure enough, I was right. I thought my extravagant 80s attire would be enough of a clue that something was going on—I didn’t just dress like that for no reason. But as I marched into each of my classes and received judgmental stares…I started to feel apprehensive about my costume. But why? Why would I care what other people think?
