It snowed several inches here last night, so it seems only fitting that I’m sharing ten spring outfit ideas on the blog today… I’m getting to that point in the year where I’m growing bored of sweaters and jeans and want to start breaking out colorful blouses, flowy skirts, etc. I’ve definitely found myself daydreaming about spring these past few days! The Dos and Don’ts of Pattern Mixing

I feel like it’s been forever since I shared a good ol’ fashioned ‘style tips and tricks’ blog post, so I figured this bold outfit was the perfect opportunity to dish on what I’ve learned about pattern mixing over the years. I never used to mix prints before I started blogging, but through a lot of trial and error, it’s now one of my favorite ways to spice up any outfit! Why is pattern mixing worth the trouble? After you get over the initial “I have no idea if this looks good” hump, print mixing can do wonders for your closet by dramatically increasing the versatility (and cost per wear) of your garments. My May Quarantivities

On the first day of May, my parents and I decided that we would do one fun, interesting, or out-of-the-ordinary activity each day of the month in order to lift our spirits and spice up the quarantine life a little—I call them our May “Quarantivities”. I would be lying if I said quarantine was a walk in the park (literally and figuratively), which is why I’ve been so grateful to have these activities to make me smile each day. Not to mention, these pastimes will be just as fun with friends and family as we enter summer and even post-quarantine life. I hope sharing them encourages you to find a dose of joy in each day, too!
