Bloopers and A College ‘Mood’

college, college student, blooper photos, fringe dress

Yesterday, I lacked the time (and all motivation) to take blog photos, so I decided to dig into the archives and find some funny blooper pictures to post instead—it’s been a hot minute (as the kids say) since I last shared a blooper post! I love to do this every once and awhile to show some “realness” because trust me, the majority of the photos I take are not good. And given that students are extremely stressed this time of year with midterms/finals before spring break (depending on if you have a traditional semester system or a quarter system, like me), I figured, why not caption all of the blooper photos with college-related stressors? I got the idea from Meghan at butterflyempire.com. She always posts blooper photos on her Instagram stories and lets her followers come up with funny captions—such a good idea! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this post, especially if you’re a stressed out college student like me. Continue reading “Bloopers and A College ‘Mood’”

Spring Break Sale Items at Francesca’s

With all the snow lately, I’ve got spring weather and spring break on my mind! Until then, I’ll get my fill of spring by browsing sale items and spring clothing online. As you all probably know by now, Francesca’s is one of my favorite stores, but it can be pretty expensive. That’s why I almost always shop from the sale section (the floral dress in this photo was $5, for example!). So, without further ado, I’ve rounded up some cute rompers, tops, dresses, and accessories for you to shop in preparation for spring (and eventually summer). And the best part? All these items are $10 or less! Continue reading “Spring Break Sale Items at Francesca’s”

My Tips for Salon Nails at Home

Sally Hansen Babe Blue fingernails

Boy, is it good to be back at blogging! It felt very strange these last couple of weeks, skipping posts and missing social media updates. Not only did I feel like a major slacker, but it also seemed like a small piece of myself was missing (it must have been hiding under my bed, along with my motivation). But thankfully, both are back now, and I’m excited to share my best tips for a salon-grade manicure done by none other than yourself. I’ve recently become very interested in nails and upkeeping them regularly, so I have my little routine down to a science. People have even asked where I get my nails done, thinking they are acrylic, but I assure you that they’re au natural! So without further ado, here are my “secrets” (ahem—they’re not so secret) for achieving that perfect manicure. Continue reading “My Tips for Salon Nails at Home”
