This year has been so busy and fast-paced that sometimes the four months I lived in Glasgow, Scotland, feel like just a fever dream. I’ll take any excuse to reminisce, so today I’m rounding up some of my favorite spots and things I did while in the city. From my favorite dessert stops to must-see venues across town, I think this list has a little something for everyone. I tried to write them in the order I would walk to all of these locations from my flat, so activities that are physically located close together are near each other in the list below. Edinburgh, Scotland Travel Guide

Today I wanted to share some of my favorite photos from Edinburgh and a list of fun activities and things to do in the city. Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland, located on the Firth of Forth near the North Sea. The city has a rich history dating back to the 12th century and has both a medieval Old Town, complete with narrow alleys and a castle that is home to Scotland’s crown jewels, and a New Town, with neoclassical architecture and spacious gardens. I visited Edinburgh a handful of times while studying abroad in Glasgow, as the cities are just a short hour-long train ride apart. I learned quickly that there is a great debate among the Scottish regarding which of the two cities is better… While I prefer Glasgow myself, I understand the allure of Edinburghits charm and beauty certainly go unmatched!   Continue reading “Edinburgh, Scotland Travel Guide”

Study Abroad Capsule Wardrobe Recap and All 66 Outfits

Hello hello! Today’s blog post is very closely related to yesterday’s, so I wanted to post them back-to-back to provide the whole picture of my packing experience for a four month vacation. Before I went to Scotland for my semester abroad, I spent a lot of time talking and thinking about a capsule wardrobe that would maximize my outfit options while overseas. Today, I’m reviewing what pieces were successful in my capsule wardrobe, what I didn’t end up wearing, and what I would do differently next time.
