Boy, the weeks have been feeling so long here, yet somehow I’ve blinked and am already approaching the one-month mark of being in Scotland—time is flying by way too fast for my liking. In a funny way, it’s actually rather stressful to look at my calendar and the list of all the things I want to do while abroad, only to realize it will already be February tomorrow. So much to see yet so little time! Even though there were a few hiccups in the beginning of my abroad experience, I feel like I’m finally over that initial hump and am now enjoying every bit of being in Scotland. Finishing off 2021 with this cute + casual outfit that I wore earlier today! Unlike the last couple of months, December was very quiet… filled with a whole lotta nothing aside from squeezing in alllll the holiday activities and spending lots of much-needed time with family. I wish I could say the uneventfulness of the month was relaxing, but the ever-changing Covid-19 precautions have been causing all sorts of extra stress about my study abroad adventure in January. I am finally getting around to sharing my October monthly recap today! (I was originally planning on sharing my spooky scary skeleton makeup on November 1st—I realize it is now very outdated.) I don’t know why, but I have felt so unmotivated to do anything blog-related these past two weeks. It’s that point in the quarter where everyone starts to experience burn-out, the weather finally feels cozy + fall-like, and all I ever want to do is curl up on the couch with a hot cocoa.
