Hi everyone!

I’m so excited about today’s post; I love this dress so much! I smile every time I put it on because it reminds me of a flapper girl, and I have a slight obsession with the Roaring Twenties… I actually have worn this dress twice as part of a flapper girl costume, but I’ll save those pictures for another day.

I wore this outfit to an anniversary party at a golf course. I don’t attend a whole lot of fancy events, so I was pretty excited that this party called for a dress and heels. I was running late, otherwise I probably would have done something cool to my hair.

I don’t know if my feet have gotten smaller since the last time I wore these heels or if my shoes just stretched out, but they definitely seemed way bigger than I remember. I have trouble walking in heels on a good day, so having my feet slip around in them did not help.

How gorgeous is this purse from Charming Charlie?! I feel like you can’t get more Roaring Twenties than that. I received it as a birthday gift last year, and while this exact purse is no longer available, there are plenty of other pretty evening bags from the RSVP Collection on their website. I’ve had my eye on this one for a while. The palm print is perfect for summer!

Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend?

Florals and a Tea Pot

Halfway through the week already! I can’t believe how fast the summer is flying by.

I’ve never paired this black camisole with this skirt before, but I really like how it turned out. I think the illusion that the white stripe on the skirt makes with the black tank is really cool. I wore this for a day out in which I ran some errands, volunteered, and explored a craft fair. It actually was a really windy day, so I regretted wearing a skirt! I felt a lot like Marilyn Monroe and had to keep holding my skirt down.

I got this skirt at Nordstrom Rack, which is one of my favorite places to shop. I’m not one of those people who loves to have designer items. For one, they’re too expensive for me. More importantly, the label of the clothes doesn’t really matter to me, just as long as they’re cute. 🙂  With that said, I really like shopping at Nordstrom Rack because I always find something cute and super affordable. Usually I head right to the back of the store where they have racks based on size and just a bunch of random clothes. I think it’s so fun shopping in this section because lots of times, if you find an item you like, you’ll only be able to find it in one or two sizes. I feel like the racks are kind of like grab bags and you never know what you’re going to find. If I do find something I love, I always feel like I’ve found a hidden treasure.

Can you tell that I’m sipping from a tea pot planter in the last picture? I even have my pinky up. 😉

Boho by the Water

Hello! I hope everyone had a nice weekend.

I wore this outfit in Kansas! We spent most of the day driving, but this outfit was super comfortable for being in a car all day. The pants feel like pajamas. Usually my travel outfits consist of jeans or athletic shorts and an old t-shirt, so to find a cute and comfortable outfit for traveling was exciting.

The lighting in these pictures make my top look like a red/brown color, but it is actually maroon. I’m not going to lie, I have this top in three different colors…I feel like if you like a piece that much, why not get it in every color? And this mock-neck top was only $11, so it just makes sense.

Top: JCPenney, $11

Pants: JCPenney, $18

Sunglasses: Icing, $16

Shoes: Target, $15

Hat: Nordstrom Rack (exact), $21
