Flower Crowns: From Fairy to Functional

Pic 1

Ahh…flower crowns. I have a love-hate relationship with these fanciful hair accessories. On one hand, they’re really pretty, especially for spring or if you love flowers which, come on, who doesn’t? But on the other hand, they are near impossible to style if you aren’t wearing a costume, going to a festival (hello, Coachella), or are just a complete hippie. So how can you get your money’s worth out of these fairy adornments? I’ve rounded up five alternative uses for flower crowns to help you do just that. 🙂 Continue reading “Flower Crowns: From Fairy to Functional”

Sunset Skirt

Thank goodness it’s Friday!

Isn’t this skirt really pretty? I think it looks like a sunset, and even though I’ve never been to Hawaii, this seems like it would be the perfect outfit to wear on vacation there. I originally put on some shell jewelry, but then I decided that was too island-like for not being on an island…

I wore this outfit to go see a movie with my friends downtown and then to get ice cream afterwards. I saw Me Before You. Did any of you see it? More importantly, did any of you read the book? I loved the book, but I have to stop talking about it now, and those of you who have read it or have seen the movie know why…

I bought this skirt the same time I bought the orange and navy skirt I wore in Wednesday’s post. I can’t believe it’s been four years since I got them! Or that they still fit; today’s orange skirt is getting on the shorter side. I remember buying these skirts for my trip to Puerto Rico, so at least this one was intended to be worn on an island. 😉
