Labor Day has passed, football season has started, and there’s a new briskness in the air—fall has finally arrived. Usually I would be overjoyed by the change in seasons but I’m feeling a little apprehensive to let go of summer this year… I know I have to get excited about autumn though because if I don’t soon, it will come and go before I know it! August 2023 Month in Review

I always thought time would slow down once I graduated college and life was no longer marked by the passing of semesters, but it seems it has only sped up. August come and gone! Summer ending! A year ago I was just getting settled into my first real job, and now I feel like I’ve worked in my position for years, feeling very comfortable with my role and coworkers. A week from tomorrow will mark two years since my boyfriend and I went on our first date. And I’ll be turning 24 in two short months! Weekly Recap #47, 2022

It’s been a long day of travel, but it was well worth it considering I just got back from such a relaxing week in Las Vegas with my boyfriend’s family. The university that employs me decided to give us last Wednesday and Friday off, in addition to the expected Thursday, which was such a treat! It was my first holiday spent away from my own family, so I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss them a ton… But I enjoyed trying new Thanksgiving foods and traditions, as well as soaking up the much warmer desert weather. We also got in our first Christmas activity of the season—seeing lights at the Ethel M Chocolate Factory cactus garden! So fun. Continue reading “Weekly Recap #47, 2022”
