I am not ashamed to say you’re looking at a former Barbie girl—whether it be in car rides, the bath tub, or even a trip to Ireland, I almost always had a gorgeous plastic lady in hand. More than the dolls themselves, I loved the fashion outlet they provided. I often created my own dresses by wrapping bandannas and strips of fabric into fabulous ballgowns, topping off the outfit with minuscule heels and the perfect hairdo. Of course, no formal attire was complete without an extravagant backstory as to where Barbie would be wearing her mini-couture gowns. I was a fashion designer, and my dolls were my runway models. Even with the slew of frustrating technical difficulties I’m facing right now (ugh), I still wanted to share this post to give you some out-of-the-box Christmas ideas. Now, I know what you’re probably thinking… “Grace, you’re a total hypocrite, you just published a post a few weeks ago about why you don’t do gift guides!” To which I would respond, “Yes, you’re totally right.” Usually, I don’t share gift guides during the holiday season because I think it’s really hard to find the perfect gift for someone you know based on universal suggestions. Trend Tester Series: The Circle Bag

I’m usually not one for following trends, mostly because I don’t go shopping enough to keep up with the constantly changing atmosphere of fashion, but there have been a few lately I’ve been dying to get my hands on. Enter: the circle bag. I think circle bags first became popular a few years ago with Mansur Gavriel’s classic purse, which every high-end blogger and her sister had. Thankfully, these fun circular totes have finally made it to the mainstream—meaning they’re affordable for the everyday gal to purchase. Over the next few weeks I’ll be testing out some trends for y’all, so you don’t have to, and determining whether they “pass” or “fail.” I’m so excited to share this adorable burgundy pom pom circle purse as my first trend.
