April 2022 Month in Review

I decided to do something a little different for this month’s recap and share unseen photos from throughout April that haven’t made it to the blog, as opposed to a new outfit. I’m not sure if I like it yet, but it was mainly just because I was too lazy to take pics for this post… Let me know what you think in the comments. Otherwise, I have some exciting news to share this month and can hardly believe tomorrow is already May! April was all over the place—from finishing my travels with my parents, to spending a week doing nothing but writing my thesis, to going to Dublin… feels like three months wrapped into one. What I Miss From Home

With only a few days left in Glasgow, I wanted to share a quick blog post about some of the little things I miss from home and the U.S. more generally (and what I will miss from Scotland once I leave). It’s bittersweet to be flying back so soon and to be saying goodbye to all the friends I’ve made here, but there are also a few things I’m so excited to have again once I get back to the States! My Go-To ‘Night Out’ Look

Today is another collaboration with the Magnificent 8, a group of bloggers across generations who get together once a quarter to show how style can be ageless. The group was super considerate of the fact that I don’t have much of a wardrobe to choose from here in Scotland, so this quarter’s theme was ‘thrifted’—easy-peasy for me since I do the Thrifty Six collaboration once a month. I was originally going to style the one spring dress I brought with me abroad (which I haven’t worn once, by the way) with these secondhand orange wedges I just bought. But then I realized I don’t have a purse to go with that outfit and didn’t want to post an incomplete look… So I decided to share my go-to going out top instead.
