Good morning! I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing weekend.
This is another outfit from my trip to Iowa. I wore this to mass one morning and then to breakfast with a large group of people. I love the lace detailing on the back—it’s such a cute addition to the blouse! While the ruffles are very pretty, there is an awkward seam down the middle of the shirt that can make it a little uncomfortable.
I could see this top dressed up on someone for work with a black pencil skirt and a cardigan, or it could be dressed down for the weekend with skinny jeans and sandals. I love this look because it is a mix between the two!
I’m so excited about today’s post; I love this dress so much! I smile every time I put it on because it reminds me of a flapper girl, and I have a slight obsession with the Roaring Twenties… I actually have worn this dress twice as part of a flapper girl costume, but I’ll save those pictures for another day.
I wore this outfit to an anniversary party at a golf course. I don’t attend a whole lot of fancy events, so I was pretty excited that this party called for a dress and heels. I was running late, otherwise I probably would have done something cool to my hair.
I don’t know if my feet have gotten smaller since the last time I wore these heels or if my shoes just stretched out, but they definitely seemed way bigger than I remember. I have trouble walking in heels on a good day, so having my feet slip around in them did not help.
How gorgeous is this purse from Charming Charlie?! I feel like you can’t get more Roaring Twenties than that. I received it as a birthday gift last year, and while this exact purse is no longer available, there are plenty of other pretty evening bags from the RSVP Collection on their website. I’ve had my eye on this one for a while. The palm print is perfect for summer!
I think this shirt would have to be one of my favorites…For one, I think it’s really unique because of the little neon yellow rectangles and the aqua color. It’s also super comfortable and great for rolling the sleeves and tying the front, like I did in this outfit. And the best part? Drumroll please…It was only $7! Can you believe that? I found it on major sale in the JCPenney clearance section. I have a lot of blue and turquoise things in my closet, so this shirt goes with a lot.
I’ve worn this outfit to school before and to lunch with my friends. I love it because it’s not super dressy, but it’s also not too casual, which makes it really versatile. The knot in the shirt makes it a little more flirty, and the sandals keep it dressed down for summer.
