Out of Office (!)

spring outfits, floral cardigan, yellow blouse, pink lipstick

Long time no see, eh? I am SO sorry I missed a blog post on Thursday! And unfortunately, I have more bad news…there’s no new content for me to share today, either. I know I know, I’m such a slacker. This week is finals week for me (my college is on the quarter system—four more days until spring break!) and I am ashamed to say my procrastination habits have reached a new high. Sadly, this means my blog is the first to suffer. Pshh—grades? Who cares! But blogging on the other hand…I’m mainly upset with my procrastination because it means neglecting all of you and being a lazy bum with no creative outlet. Shame on me. 5 Ways to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day (That Don’t Involve Alcohol)

green striped tee, black shorts, brown sandals

It’s no surprise that St. Patrick’s Day is often just an excuse to party and drink lots of beer (cheers!), and I imagine it won’t be much different on a college campus. BUT I wanted to provide some alcohol-free ideas to celebrate for all of us minors. It’s easy to only look forward to the “big” holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, but why can’t we get hyped for the little holidays too? No need to discriminate. If you haven’t caught on by now, I’ll find any reason to dress up, throw a party, or put out decorations, and the seemingly-trivial St. Patty’s Day is no exception. So without further ado, here are some of my favorite green outfits and a handful of ideas to have a good time this weekend! Oscar Style at Home: Three Looks from the Runway to Your Front Door

purple mauve tulle Jenny Yoo dress

Okay so I didn’t get invited to the Academy Awards this year…But it’s fine, it’s whatever. There’s always next year, right?! I did watch the awards show briefly, but I only really care about the fashion. And let me say…I was rather disappointed with the red carpet gowns this year. There were a lot of dresses that had potential but ended up falling short. For example, I loved the texture and color of Emma Stone’s gown, but I just couldn’t get on board with the crazy shoulders. Then there was a collection of just completely unflattering looks! Nonetheless, I picked three of my favorites and rounded up similar dresses for you to shop, so you can bring the runway to your front door. Every day should be a fashion show, and the world is your red carpet! (Totally cheesy, but I still love it.) Most of the dresses are cocktail dresses so you can wear them for normal-people special occasions because, unfortunately, not all of us have black-tie events to attend. So get out your cute wallets and happy shopping! Continue reading “Oscar Style at Home: Three Looks from the Runway to Your Front Door”
