Activities to Pass the Quaran-Time

staying busy, staying home, quarantine activities

What’s shakin’, bacon? How are you holding up? While several of my friends have already started complaining about being bored at home, I’ve begun to realize that quarantining and staying home doesn’t feel that different from when I’d come home from college any other day… guess you could say I didn’t have much of a life before COVID-19 and this social distancing thing has just highlighted that fact, ha! Regardless, I’ve never been the type of person who bores easily. I always have a million things to do or things I could choose to do (continue learning an instrument, read, write short stories, blog, play chess, etc.). But I realize not everyone is as eager to reorganize their bedroom or practice calligraphy as I am. So given that, I decided to round up a few ideas to keep you busy during this time—some are basic, some are outlandish, but hopefully you find that some of them are unique (and actually appealing). Without further ado… Continue reading “Activities to Pass the Quaran-Time”

My Coronavirus Silver Linings

moving out, college dorm room, college student, coronavirus

Hello again! Long time no see. I hate that I haven’t been able to post for the last 3 usual posting days (yikes, it’s been a long time since I was that absent from the blog), but with finals and having to suddenly move out of my dorm, I just didn’t get around to it. That doesn’t mean I don’t have tons of blog post ideas for the upcoming weeks, though! With that said, I have decided to continue blogging like regular, but with an occasional—and temporary—coronavirus twist (more posts centered on being at home, etc.). Bloopers and A College ‘Mood’

college, college student, blooper photos, fringe dress

Yesterday, I lacked the time (and all motivation) to take blog photos, so I decided to dig into the archives and find some funny blooper pictures to post instead—it’s been a hot minute (as the kids say) since I last shared a blooper post! I love to do this every once and awhile to show some “realness” because trust me, the majority of the photos I take are not good. And given that students are extremely stressed this time of year with midterms/finals before spring break (depending on if you have a traditional semester system or a quarter system, like me), I figured, why not caption all of the blooper photos with college-related stressors? I got the idea from Meghan at butterflyempire.com. She always posts blooper photos on her Instagram stories and lets her followers come up with funny captions—such a good idea! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this post, especially if you’re a stressed out college student like me. Continue reading “Bloopers and A College ‘Mood’”
