Differences in Education Between Scotland and the U.S.

Well, I waited so dang long to post the rest of my study abroad content that it has now become back-to-school content instead… I guess it works, considering most of the outfits I wore in Scotland were more suited for fall, anyway! Today I wanted to talk a little bit about the differences in education I received abroad compared to my home university in the States. For those of you who don’t know, I spent my final semester studying at the University of Glasgow (GU) in Scotland, and I attended the University of Denver (DU) for the other three and a half years of undergrad. May 2022 Month in Review

What a month it’s been! Although I suppose the more accurate statement would be, “What a year it’s been,” since I’ve probably said those same words about every month of 2022 so far. I returned from an amazing study abroad experience in Scotland the first week of May, attended my brother’s wedding in Las Vegas, took an apartment-hunting trip to Denver, and am currently in Boston visiting a friend. The hecticness hasn’t ended quite yet, as I’ll be moving back to Denver in a few weeks and attending my graduation, but then I will finally be able to settle down into my new job and life in Denver. So many exciting things still on the horizon! While this outfit is more fit for fall than summer, it was a go-to in Glasgow and a look I photographed right before leaving. March 2022 Month in Review

Boy oh boy, March was quite the month! Between several day trips, hosting a friend for the weekend, starting my three-week-long UK tour with my parents, getting sick, and writing three essays throughout it all, it’s safe to say that the first of March feels like months ago, not weeks ago… Somehow each month abroad has been even busier than the last. I’m exhausted, but I’m trying to make the most of the little time I have left here—only four more weeks before I fly to Las Vegas for my brother’s wedding.
