Today is another collaboration with the Magnificent 8, a group of bloggers across generations who get together once a quarter to show how style can be ageless. The group was super considerate of the fact that I don’t have much of a wardrobe to choose from here in Scotland, so this quarter’s theme was ‘thrifted’—easy-peasy for me since I do the Thrifty Six collaboration once a month. I was originally going to style the one spring dress I brought with me abroad (which I haven’t worn once, by the way) with these secondhand orange wedges I just bought. But then I realized I don’t have a purse to go with that outfit and didn’t want to post an incomplete look… So I decided to share my go-to going out top instead. Boy oh boy, March was quite the month! Between several day trips, hosting a friend for the weekend, starting my three-week-long UK tour with my parents, getting sick, and writing three essays throughout it all, it’s safe to say that the first of March feels like months ago, not weeks ago… Somehow each month abroad has been even busier than the last. I’m exhausted, but I’m trying to make the most of the little time I have left here—only four more weeks before I fly to Las Vegas for my brother’s wedding. January 2022 Month in Review

Boy, the weeks have been feeling so long here, yet somehow I’ve blinked and am already approaching the one-month mark of being in Scotland—time is flying by way too fast for my liking. In a funny way, it’s actually rather stressful to look at my calendar and the list of all the things I want to do while abroad, only to realize it will already be February tomorrow. So much to see yet so little time! Even though there were a few hiccups in the beginning of my abroad experience, I feel like I’m finally over that initial hump and am now enjoying every bit of being in Scotland.
