It was another busy busy week—and it doesn’t help that work has been insane lately! I really need to start saying no to more social events because I feel like I’ve been drowning the last few weeks… I’m so looking forward to the two trips I’ll be taking in October (Philadelphia for fun and Indianapolis for a work conference) but for now I just have to grind to catch up on alllll the things.

My boyfriend and I started the week in Las Vegas, hence my very plain travel outfit. We had a weird experience at the airport, though. We all boarded the plane, were ready for takeoff, and then had to get off and reboard because the crew couldn’t confirm the people on the plane. We didn’t end up leaving until 1.5 hours after our departure time. Turns out, somebody who wasn’t paying attention forgot to get off the plane from the previous flight!

Finally back in the office today, and I had lots of catching up to do. My very stylish grandma gave me this top and sweater years ago (along with black pants that no longer fit) as a birthday gift. I love the whole outfit and have worn it many times over the years (pictured here in 2017—such a baby!), but the sweater never seems to look very flattering in photos.

Wednesday, September 20
I worked from home today—which is unusual for a Wednesday—so my boyfriend and I could attend his friend’s wedding in Boulder at 4 o’clock. A 4pm Wednesday wedding! Weird, I know, though I’m sure so much cheaper than a popular weekend day.
I was torn between a few dress options but decided on this floral tiered dress because I knew it would be comfiest—loose-fitting and doesn’t require a special bra. I got lots of compliments on it, especially from my boyfriend’s friends, which I thought was sweet. I actually bought this dress for my cousin’s August wedding in 2019. My boyfriend partook in a fun wedding guest Reel with me, which you can check out here!
After the wedding, we drove about an hour and a half to Keystone, a small mountain town in the Rockies, for a work conference. It was a late night but I’m so glad we decided to drive out on Wednesday instead of really early on Thursday morning.

My early alarm was a rude awakening this morning, but the conference sessions I went to were so interesting! It was a public health conference I was attending for a specific project at work, so I learned lots about the opioid epidemic and what different groups in the state are doing to address it.
It was chilly in the mountains so long sleeves and sweaters were very necessary. I love how this work outfit turned out, especially my fabulous dotted Kate Spade handbag. I don’t use it very often because I have a laptop bag for work instead, but if I didn’t need to transport my laptop all the time, this would be my go-to business lady purse.

Another work outfit that I thought was very cute and fall-ish! I know fitted blazers aren’t really “in” anymore, but I love this thrifted tweed one anyway. After a full day at the conference, my boyfriend and I went on a hike and saw the beginning of some beautiful fall colors (it was still too early for all the deep yellows and oranges, though).

Saturday, September 23
Another fabulous work outfit! My office is pretty casual, but I think I should start dressing up more because I love blazers and chic business casual attire. These purple pants are especially pretty for fall.

Saturday, September 23, Continued
I only went to one conference session this morning before changing and checking out of the hotel room. My boyfriend and I grabbed breakfast, took the scenic route to Georgetown, and killed time in the old mining town before finally taking a fall leaf peeping train ride. While we both had fun on the Georgetown Loop Railroad, I’m not sure I would recommend it (it wasn’t a loop at all, just a short out-and-back).
In the evening, we met up for a last-minute dinner with my aunt and her family and my other aunt who was in town from Puerto Rico. It was so good to see them all!

Sunday, September 24
I spent the day inside in lounge clothes working away on my very long to-do list. I watched the first half of the new season of “Love is Blind” while putting together last week’s recap, which was ridiculous and entertaining as always.

Which of this week’s outfits is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!

I love the dress you wore for the wedding: just perfect! And your Thursday outfit is probably my fav workwear look you wore. I do like the blazer look too!
