Blog, what blog? I’m getting to my monthly recap a little later than I was hoping, but I’m sure it comes as no surprise considering I’ve really been slacking in the blogging department lately… Part of the reason I’ve been so MIA is because of my stupid phone camera! I’ve mentioned a few times that it’s been having trouble focusing lately and has just gotten worse and worse, even after doing a factory reset. It’s so frustrating trying to get photos I like, so I’ve almost stopped doing photoshoots altogether… I took my phone into a shop today and they ordered a new camera for it—hopefully that does the trick. Otherwise, it’s a motherboard issue and I’ll have to get a new phone (thankfully my warranty doesn’t end until July 31—I haven’t even had the phone a year yet, UGH!). Fingers crossed I can get back to my regular photos and blog posts soon.
What’s New?
- I celebrated my one-year work anniversary the last week of June! It’s so hard to believe that I’ve already been graduated for more than a year—it feels like just yesterday I was studying abroad.
- Speaking of anniversaries, July 5 marked seven years that I’ve been doing Graceful Rags! Crazy. I always think I should do some anniversary blog post, but then I always forget, lol.
- In other news, I started getting laser hair removal on my lower legs and bikini line at Semper Laser. I used to get waxed all the time and have wanted to try laser for several years now. After getting an “eight sessions free” coupon at the bridal show I attended a few months ago, I finally decided to bite the bullet for my first treatments. I had my second appointment yesterday but have already noticed such a difference in my hair growth in that short amount of time! The treatments are very expensive, but I already know it’s going to be so worth it. And it hardly hurts—it’s a quick pinching/hot sensation, but compared to waxing it feels like nothing. I could write a whole blog post about laser hair removal and my experience so far, so let me know if you have any questions about the process!
- My boyfriend and I are now regulars at a local bar—we’ve been going to trivia every Wednesday night and it’s so much fun. I’ve been wanting to get back into “pub quiz” after going every week with my friends in Scotland, so I’m glad to have found a place nearby that brings back some of those memories. We finally got third place this past week (and won $ off our tab!), and we also discovered a speakeasy in the back of the bar two weeks ago. Now all that’s left is for the bartenders to know us by name.
Today’s Outfit
How cute is today’s jumpsuit?? It’s my newest outfit from Clara Sunwoo, a mother-daughter owned fashion brand specializing in wrinkle-free fabric that I’ve been collaborating with the past few months. I love the pink and black boho print, and the jumpsuit is beyond comfy. My only complaint is that I wish the elastic waistband was a single seam instead of the multi-seamed, sort of scrunched fabric (I’ve noticed the waistband sinks lower and lower on me throughout the day).
Today I paired the jumpsuit with nude heels, golf face earrings, and a bright lipstick, but I wore it to work a few weeks ago with a black pearl belt and black studded heels. I think it will look so cute with a leather jacket and booties come fall!

Favorite Outfits from June
I love the cute western-inspired outfit on the left. Fringe, denim, cowgirl boots—the perfect combo for a country concert! The more casual shorts and crop top look on the right is what I wore for my road trip back from Grand Junction earlier in the month. It was comfy for the car ride but still stylish.
What I Watched
I’ve been watching “Community” with my boyfriend and “How to Get Away with Murder” on my own time, neither of which I’ve finished watching yet. I prefer to save my reviews until I’ve completed the show, so here are the few movies I watched this month instead:
- The Father—Objectively, this was a very well-made and well-acted movie, but it was without a doubt the saddest thing I’ve ever seen. Don’t watch. I didn’t recover for several days…
- Forgetting Sarah Marshall—I thought this would be some great rom-com considering it’s sort of a “classic” in the genre, but I feel like it was just like any other rom-com I’ve seen. Very raunchy (and if you watch the unrated version you get to see Jason Segel’s naughty bits, lol).
- Midsommar—I watched this after attending the Midsummer Festival at Estes Park, naturally, and I have very mixed feelings about it… It’s extremely gory and strange and I loved it for the first two-thirds. But then it became weird just for the sake of being weird and it kind of ruined it for me.
June Spotify Playlist
This month’s playlist might be my favorite ever! It’s such a good mix of new-to-me songs and old favorites. In music news, have you heard Fall Out Boy’s version of “We Didn’t Start the Fire” remade with modern lyrics? It’s a fun listen but definitely not as clever as Billy Joel’s original.
What I’m Looking Forward to in July
- Barbenheimer!! A bunch of friends and I will be going to the double feature of Oppenheimer and Barbie, which come out on the same day. My boyfriend and I are going to dress up as Barbie and Ken for the event. We haven’t decided which duo to go as (beach Barbie and Ken, roller derby Barbie and Ken, etc.) so we’re hoping the thrift store inventory speaks to us tomorrow. Here’s my Pinterest board for inspiration.
- My boyfriend’s family is coming to town at the end of the month, so I’m excited for whatever fun we get up to! It sounds like we might all go to karaoke one night, which I think would be very entertaining.
