I’ma be honest, I’ve rewritten an intro for this post five times now and nothing’s working for me… I’m just not feeling the whole blogging thing today, but y’all know the drill—last week’s work outfits and cost per wear are shared down below!

Monday, April 24

I had a productive day at work and then scurried home to take blog photos for my Magnificent 8 collab. I stumbled across a super cute pink, decked out shed, which is where I took the cover photo of today’s post! Isn’t it so fun and Barbie-esque?

Printed Shift Dress: Nordstrom Rack, $40 ($2.11 per wear), last worn here | Blue Flats: Sam Edelman via DSW, $5 ($0.19 per wear), last worn here

It was rainy today, which I love. I was born outside of Seattle, Washington, and spent my younger years there, so a good overcast day always reminds me of my first home. But aside from loving the rain, this was one of those days where I felt so “bleh” and not confident at all. Probably because I hadn’t washed my hair in a while, ha!

Button-Down: JCPenney, $30 ($0.97 per wear), last worn here | Olive Green Pants: JCPenney, $35 ($1.46 per wear) | Leopard Rain Booties: Ralph Lauren via Macy’s, $60 ($0.83 per wear), last worn here

I love this brown and hunter green combo, but unfortunately my sweater shrunk in the wash a few months ago (the water heater was malfunctioning and made my cold cycle hot—boo!). I still wear it obviously, but the sweater is not very comfortable anymore.

Brown Sweater: Banana Republic, $40 ($1.54 per wear), last worn here | Green Pants: JCPenney, $28 ($0.70 per wear), last worn here | Black Leopard Booties: DSW, $35 ($1.67 per wear), last worn here

This has been one of my go-to outfit combos since high school—printed shift dress, beige sparkly flats, and my long pearl necklace. It never fails and is such an easy work outfit to throw on and go.

Patterned Shift Dress: JCPenney, $30 ($1.88 per wear), last worn here | Beige Flats: Nordstrom Rack, $40 ($0.87 per wear), last worn here

Friday, April 28

This is the exact outfit I wore on my first day of work last summer! I remember thinking I should photograph it and write a blog post about first day jitters, post-grad job hunting, etc., but here I am almost a year later with no post written… It’s just baffling how fast the last year and a half has flown by.

Black Floral Dress: Costco, $20 ($1.54 per wear), last worn here | Green Cardigan: Nordstrom, $30 ($2.00 per wear), last worn here | Beige Flats: Nordstrom Rack, $40 ($0.85 per wear), last worn here

. . . . .

Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30

I had a very busy weekend of running errands and spring cleaning, so I didn’t wear real clothes at all. I’ve been trying to go through my closet and donate lots of pieces, which is always hard for me because I’m so sentimental. I already have three boxes full, though (which is a lot for me), and I’m trying to purge a few more items before dropping it all off at the donation center.

. . . . .

Which of these professional outfits is your favorite? I know today’s post is not my best work—I’m running on E over here—but I appreciate you stopping by the blog anyway.

Miles of smiles,

Grace

  1. I’m glad you didn’t give away the shrunken sweater. It’s a perfect layering sweater now for under a blazer or jacket. And girl, it shows off your wonderful figure amazingly (I know by experience, that isn’t always easy, but every once in a while is good for us).
