This was kind of an unusual week! I was lucky enough to get Monday off work for MLK Day even though my company doesn’t normally give us that day off. And then it snowed a ton in Denver on Wednesday, so I worked from home twice—only going into the office two days this week. That means I have fewer outfits to share than normal because, if I’m being honest, I hardly ever get dressed if I don’t leave the house… one of the reasons I really wanted a job with an in-person aspect, ha!

I spent the day off sleeping in, binging “Full Metal Alchemist” with my boyfriend, and hot-tubbing at his apartment. I love hanging out in outdoor hot-tubs during the winter, and it was such a beautiful day for it! Aside from a swimsuit though, I just stayed in sweats today…

I have to admit, it was a little hard getting out of bed this morning after a three-day weekend… Usually a killer outfit does the trick, but I’m not sure how I feel about this look! I think the A-line shape of my dress kind of clashes with the lines of my moto jacket—I’m not sure what else I could layer over this dress, though. Maybe a black belt would help add a little shape? What I do love about this outfit is the sock-boot combo. You can’t tell from this pic, but my grey socks are covered in the cutest little jewels. Nothing completes an outfit quite like a good pair of socks…

I woke up to a ton of snow! It was basically a snow day across the Denver metro area, with most school districts closed and my company instructing us all to work from home. Even though I don’t really get dressed when I stay home, I at least tried to put on a cute matching lounge set today. One of the nice things about working from my apartment is that I can cross off a few extra to-do list items with the time I save from the commute. I also watched The Gift tonight! I rarely watch movies by myself so that was kind of a fun change of pace.

I worked from home again today, and then my boyfriend and I went line dancing at the Grizzly Rose with one of my best friends and her boyfriend, who are visiting from out of town. I was SO excited to wear my new cowgirl boots out dancing! I had intended on wearing skinny jeans to really showcase the boots, but I did a ton of laundry Tuesday and they weren’t dry yet… so I made do with ripped straight leg jeans instead. I would normally wear a necklace with this outfit but didn’t want anything swinging in my face while dancing.

I finally made it back to the office today, and it felt so good to go in person again! I know I might be in the minority with that opinion, but I love sitting at my desk and chatting with my coworkers… it’s just not the same working when I’m by myself in my apartment. Afterwards, my boyfriend and I worked out together at his apartment’s gym—it’s been an embarrassingly long time since I properly exercised, but it felt great to finally get my body moving again. I’ve really been struggling to get into a fitness routine since starting my job.
Today’s outfit is kind of simple but I still think it’s so cute. I mainly wanted to wear my ammonite necklace that my mom got me for my birthday, and this sweater is the perfect thing to pair it with! I’m also wearing my cowgirl boots again—I’ve been trying to style them a lot to decrease their cost per wear.

My boyfriend and I went to brunch this morning at Snooze, which is our favorite breakfast spot. I strayed from my usual savory order and opted for the gluten-free blueberry Danish pancakes! Delicious. Afterwards, I ran some errands and we spent the night hanging with some friends. I haven’t broken out my penguin hat in a while, but I thought it would be fun! I do think this outfit needs something—maybe jeans instead of black pants or lighter-colored boots—but I opted for my leopard rain booties since there’s still so much slush outside.

Sunday, January 22
I slept in way later than I usually do today and then pretty much lounged around the apartment, aside from going on a quick walk outside to get some fresh air. My boyfriend and I are planning on watching The Menu tonight and I’m very excited! I’ve heard it’s pretty weird.
Since I never really go anywhere on the weekends and my clothes don’t get “dirty” per se, I usually rewear my weekend outfits. I decided to add a different hat and scarf combo to yesterday’s look to switch it up a little.

Adorable! Those outfits with the fun beanie hats are so cute. Love the combos with the scarves too. And those cowboy boots just go with everything!
