It was another super busy week at work and in the evenings, but I was grateful to have a calmer weekend with virtually no plans—I didn’t leave my apartment from Thursday night to Sunday morning and honestly, it was glorious! We got some snow this week but thankfully my aunt and I didn’t let it squash our plans to attend a Denver Fashion Week show on Thursday night. Check out what I wore below!

I received this beautiful ammonite necklace for my birthday and wanted to design an entire outfit around the piece. While it does look a little stuffy, I still liked this ensemble—I’m such a sucker for this brown tweed blazer, even though I don’t wear it that often. The necklace is just long enough that it doesn’t work with a lot of scoop necklines, so I layered it over a mock-neck instead. I love all the fall colors happening in this look! It was a busy day at work and then I spent the evening cleaning my apartment, like the responsible adult that I am.

Maroon Mock-Neck Top: JCPenney, $11 ($0.29 per wear), last worn here | Brown Tweed Blazer: Thrifted, $9 ($4.50 per wear), last worn here | Olive Green Pants: JCPenney, $35 ($2.06 per wear) | Magenta Velvet Flats: Sundance Outlet, $60 ($7.50 per wear), last worn here

It snowed a bit overnight, and since I didn’t have any external meetings today, I decided to dress extra cozy. I haven’t paired these pieces together before but I thought the blanket scarf, rust-colored sweater, and double pom beanie were super cute together (although I’ve been told that any poms on hats are out this season).

After another jam-packed day at work, my boyfriend came over so we could watch the premier of “Yellowstone”. I made us spaghetti with a new meat sauce recipe that was sadly very disappointing! Even more disappointing that I had a bunch of leftovers, which I ate for days…

Rust-Colored Sweater: Hand-me-down, last worn here | Black Skinny Jeans: Express, $42 ($1.35 per wear), last worn here | Black Snow Boots: DSW, $40 ($1.29 per wear), last worn here | Plaid Scarf: Gift, last worn here | Beanie: Love Your Melon, $60 ($7.50 per wear), last worn here

I had quite a few meetings today, and then my coworkers and I left the office a little early for our anniversary party! Instead of a holiday get-together, our wellness team decided to host a party at a nearby brewery to celebrate the founding of our center. It was really fun to get to know my coworkers better outside of the office, and we played an icebreaker game where each of us had a sticky note with an animal on our back. We had to ask each other yes or no questions to try to figure out our animal. I was a llama, in case anyone was wondering…

The party ended around 5:30, so I joined my boyfriend for a date night at one of his favorite spots in Boulder. While this isn’t quite a ‘date night’ outfit, it is another new combo, and I really liked the mix of beige, forest green, and black together. It’s hard to see, but I also wore a beautiful green stone statement necklace that a friend got for me from an antique shop!

Button Down: JCPenney, $30 ($1.03 per wear), last worn here | Beige Cropped Sweater: Nordstrom Rack, $18 ($0.38 per wear), last worn here | Green Pants: JCPenney, $28 ($0.80 per wear), last worn here | Taupe Booties: Sam Edelman via DSW, $70 ($0.81 per wear), last worn here | Green Statement Necklace: Antique shop

This outfit was definitely a miss. While I like the interesting color combo of dark purple, beige, and black, the neckline of the sweater doesn’t work well with my coat. I think I might retry this look sometime with a different black top.

I woke up to snow and then, despite the original forecasts, it never stopped snowing the entire day. I left work a little early to beat the nasty roads and then got ready for… Denver Fashion Week! My brother and sister-in-law got me two tickets for my birthday, so I invited my aunt to go with me. The snowy roads were a little bit of a hairball but thankfully we made it there and back safely.

Polka Dot Sweater: DR2 by Daniel Rainn, gifted by brand, last worn here | Beige Coat: Francesca’s, $60 ($1.46 per wear), last worn here | Purple Pants: JCPenney, $35 ($3.18 per wear) | Taupe Booties: Sam Edelman via DSW, $70 ($0.80 per wear), last worn here

It was fun deciding on an ‘out-there’ look for the fashion show, and I ultimately landed on this teal velvet jumpsuit with a pleather jacket. I also wore teal eyeshadow, which was fun and different for me! It was a really enjoyable night, and I plan on sharing more about it in a blog post next week. Stay tuned…

Teal Velvet Jumpsuit: Thrifted, $11 ($5.50 per wear), last worn here | Black Pleather Jacket: Blank NYC via local boutique, $25 ($0.53 per wear), last worn here | Snakeskin Booties: Thrifted, $11 ($5.50 per wear) | Silver Belt: Hand-me-down

I woke up to quite a bit of snow and decided to work from home—I think most people did, our campus didn’t even open until 10 am. I did a bad thing though… and I didn’t get dressed all day (gasp!). I know, I know, that is the number one thing you don’t do when you work from home. But to be honest, I had so much to do that I wasn’t worried about feeling motivated. It was one of those days where I had no choice but to be productive. After work, I warmed up some leftovers for dinner and had a chill night starting the new season of “The Crown”.

I slept in and woke up feeling ready to tackle the day, doing some blog work, writing thank you notes, catching up on some other chores, etc. In the evening, I worked on a series of items while watching a Disney marathon in the background—The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Alladin. I just threw on my favorite tee from Brian Head, Utah, and some cargo pants, nothing special.

Sunday, November 20

I grabbed brunch with my friends this morning and we decided we were doing “cute casual”, so this is the outfit I came up with. I really liked this fall look and think I will pack it with me for my trip to Las Vegas next week! It also features one of my all time favorite necklaces, which I haven’t worn in forever. I spent the rest of the day working on my Bridgerton blog post and watching more of “The Crown”.

Olive Green Bodysuit: Francesca’s, $20 ($1.82 per wear), last worn here | Cardigan: Gift, $30 ($0.88 per wear), last worn here | Cropped Flared Jeans: Express, $40 ($1.33 per wear), last worn here | Brown Booties: Express, $23 ($11.50 per wear), last worn here | Brown Belt: Sundance Outlet, $80 ($2.29 per wear), last worn here

Which of this week’s outfits is your favorite? I think Sunday is mine, although I liked quite a few of my looks this week. I hope you had a great weekend and enjoy the rest of your evening!

Miles of smiles,

Grace

  1. Whoever said pom hats are out clearly has no clue of fashion. They are a fashion classic just like the little black dress or camel coat. 😉
