It may have taken two and a half months, but I think this is the first week I felt truly settled after starting my big girl job in June. I finally got back to my blogging schedule, I cooked real dinners like a functioning adult, and I just had much more motivation to do things after getting home from the office, instead of lazily lying about like I had been doing most nights. It felt so good to be more at ease in my routine; not to mention, work was really busy, which was exciting and made the days go by faster. The only downside of the week is that I wasn’t in love with my outfits… but hey, not all of them can be winners.

Another example of my Monday uniform: an easy dress where I can just slip it on and go. After work, my boyfriend came over for dinner and to watch my soccer game. It was SO much fun and I absolutely crushed it—I can’t remember the last time I played so well (or ran so hard). I was sore the rest of the week!

I’m still on the fence about this outfit… Does the pink and yellow floral blouse clash with the rest of the look? I love the brown tweed blazer with the olive green pants and the overall shape of the outfit, but I’m not sure about the top. Is the look eclectic chic or just doesn’t go together?? Anyway, I had a crazy day at the office and ended up having to take some projects home with me, working into the evening.

It was quite chilly today so I decided to break out my pink statement sweater with the tulle details on the arm. The thought only briefly crossed my mind as I was walking out the door that this sweater might be a little too much for the office… and after hearing/seeing my coworkers’ responses, I decided it definitely was, lol. Still a cute pairing with the polka dots, though.

I have a love-hate relationship with this sweater. I really like the texture and dusty light blue color, but I feel like it’s always kind of unflattering on me! Something about the curved hem makes me look bigger than I am. But ah well… I liked the color combo of the light blue with the emerald green pants nonetheless. I went to my boyfriend’s place after work and we stayed up late watching “Yellowstone”.

Friday, September 23
I worked from home today because nobody else was heading into the office. I made some banana chocolate chip muffins, I grabbed groceries, and then two of my girlfriends came over for a cocktail night. It was such a blast to catch up and plan out all the fun fall activities we want to do together.
I reached for these straight-leg jeans, which I haven’t worn in years, because I figured the shape might be trendy again. I wasn’t able to put together a cute outfit, though—this one is pretty plain, and something about the knit tank with the sandals is giving me hippy vibes, and not in a good way.

I liked this cute weekend look with the little leopard flats! I went to my younger cousin’s basketball game, visited my grandma, and then went to dinner with my boyfriend and his parents, who were in town this weekend. We had a sushi feast and then ended up playing a charades-like game all night, which was so much fun—we all couldn’t remember the last time we laughed so hard.

Sunday, September 25
Most of this outfit is the same as yesterday’s, except I switched out the top… It’s giving very ‘mom on the go’ vibes. I grabbed brunch with my boyfriend and his parents, and then he and I went to the driving range together. He’s a golfer, but I’ve only been to a driving range a handful of times in my life. I really enjoyed learning and got such a thrill on the few occasions I hit a good shot. I can’t wait to go back! Afterwards, I met up with my aunt’s family and my other aunt who is town to go to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner. So good to catch up with everyone!
