Boy, I can’t remember the last time I had so many blog photos stocked up! I had my headshots taken at work this week, so I already had my hair and makeup done up on Wednesday… I had an inexplicable spur of motivation and decided to make the most of that curled hair, bulk shooting a couple of this week’s outfits (including the one above) and a few additional looks for future blog posts. Feels so good to be on top of blogging for once! Anyway, without further ado, here are this week’s ‘fits.
I had such a wonderfully lazy morning for the day off! I slept in, read a little on my deck, and then made pancakes. Admittedly, I got a little restless in the afternoon after doing nothing all day, but it was a relaxing way to start the week nonetheless… didn’t even get dressed!
Tuesday, September 6
I threw on this jumpsuit as something comfy and casual for the first day back at work after a long weekend. In the evening, my boyfriend came over and we binged more of “Yellowstone”.

How stinking cute is this outfit?! This light pink tweed blazer (with pearl buttons!) was a graduation present from my mom, and today was the first day I broke it out. I got all dolled up for headshots at work today, but sadly I got my pics back on Friday evening… and they’re not flattering. Big bummer, I was so excited to update my LinkedIn pic! Anyway, the boy came over after work again today and I made us sloppy joes for dinner—yum.

I was extra tired this morning, so I just threw on another dress. I paired this floral bell-sleeve one with these raffia slide-on sandals from Target, but I forgot how uncomfortable slides are. They’re so difficult to walk in—how do people tolerate them? Don’t get me wrong, I think slides are super cute, but my feet were not happy with me by the end of the day. After work, I went over to my old university to catch up with a friend and grab dinner. While I was in the area, I decided to make a few returns at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center near the school. I’ve only been there once before, but boy is it a nice mall! It’d be fun to go back sometime and just window shop.

Friday, September 9
I decided to work from home today because I was so stinking tired—I went to bed last night at 9 pm and slept in this morning ‘til 7:30! (For reference, I usually arrive at the office at 7:45.) It felt so good to sleep in and was much needed. After work, I made my first Instagram Reels (I’ll be posting them soon!) and then went bowling with my boyfriend.
Today was the first properly cool day in Denver, so I was beyond excited to break out a sweater and boots! I just got these jeans from Express on steep discount—only $15—and I thought they looked so cute with the cropped collared sweater. Very 90s collegiate vibes. The jeans are definitely out of my comfort zone, but as my favorite fashion bloggers keep reminding me, skinny jeans are out (I write as I roll my eyes). I’ve never cared very much about trends but figured I would try the looser denim look.

Saturday, September 10
Classic Denver weather—even though it was 90 degrees on Thursday, we decided to skip straight to winter today, with a high of 55. My boyfriend and I had a very relaxing and cozy fall day, getting brunch in the morning, reading our books in his apartment’s outdoor hot-tub, and then watching the Elvis movie in the afternoon, complete with popcorn and milkshakes.
I didn’t like the jeans in this outfit nearly as much. The cableknit sweater seems like the wrong vibe for them, as if it’s too business-y. I think the cropped, casual sweater look is definitely the move with these pants.

Sunday, September 11
My boyfriend and I just lounged about most of the day—he watched football as I did blog work. I ended up joining my aunt and her fam last minute for dinner, just wearing the same ‘fit as yesterday. My aunt and I will be attending the Bridgerton Ball Experience in November for my birthday, so the two of us had way too much fun playing dress up after dinner and trying to figure out what to wear!
