Don’t you just love three-day weekends? It was a long (albeit busy, in a good way) work week and a full weekend of hosting one of my best high school friends. Needless to say, I’m so grateful to have tomorrow off! I need to catch up on some major Zs and am looking forward to having a rest and recovery day after several social weekends in a row. In the meantime, here are my chic workwear outfits of the week!

Today definitely felt like a Monday, so I threw on one of my go-to professional dresses that’s so easy to throw on when I’m feeling lazy. After work, I had another soccer game and took a ball straight to the nose—ouch! But as one of my teammates said, it was “a good hustle” lol.

Shift Dress: JCPenney, $30 ($2.31 per wear), last worn here | Beige Flats: Nordstrom Rack, $40 ($0.93 per wear), last worn here

I’ve been trying to break out some of my less-worn pieces, so I decided to style this navy collared top in a monochromatic look. I got this blouse in high school when the dress-code required collared shirts but have hardly worn it. Even though it’s still not my favorite top, I like how this professional outfit came together.

Navy Blouse: Gap Outlet, $30 ($6.00 per wear) | Blue Skirt: Francesca’s, $38 ($2.38 per wear), last worn here | Blue Flats: DSW, $5 ($0.23 per wear), last worn here

After a busy day at work, a bunch of my coworkers and I got drinks and dinner at a nearby restaurant for an end-of-summer get-together. It was so much fun to get to know everyone outside of the office! Afterwards, I took a few blog photos in today’s outfit for an upcoming collab, featuring my new short-sleeve sweater. More to come soon!

Sweater: DR2 by Daniel Rainn, gifted by brand | Mustard Pants: JCPenney, $20 ($0.80 per wear), last worn here | Leopard Flats: Target, $20 ($0.71 per wear), last worn here | Purse: Antique mall, $8 ($8.00 per wear)

I had another busy day of meetings, followed by a night of cleaning my apartment—funnn. I wore this leopard shift dress, which I belted with my snakeskin sandals and layered under my denim jacket. I’m not sure how I felt about this outfit, though—does the blue clash with the vibe of the dress? Also, the dress is a really cheap material that always gets static-y and clings to me. I wonder if I should just give it away, but I still like the idea of the dress and find myself struggling to get rid of it.

Leopard Dress: JCPenney, $11 ($2.20 per wear), last worn here | Denim Jacket: JCPenney, $19 ($0.11 per wear), last worn here | Snakeskin Sandals: DSW, $30 ($3.75 per wear), last worn here

Friday, September 2

It was a tough time getting through work on a Friday before a long weekend, but afterwards, I picked up my friend from a coffee shop on my way home! We had a great night in my apartment catching up, watching the lightning storm from my deck, and making gluten-free Oreo milkshakes. Fun fact, this is actually the outfit I wore on my first day of work!

Floral Dress: Costco, $20 ($1.67 per wear), last worn here | Green Cardigan: Nordstrom, $30 ($2.14 per wear), last worn here | Beige Flats: Nordstrom Rack, $40 ($0.91 per wear), last worn here

My friend and I hiked around Red Rocks Amphitheatre this morning, got lunch in Golden, and then watched a movie in my apartment. After dinner, we went out to the Grizzly Rose, which is the country bar in town! We had such a blast people watching and trying to learn the line dances. I didn’t have any tops that were particularly fit for the country vibe, so I just went with this tank and my denim shorts. I also tried a new eyeshadow look and loved how it turned out (usually I’m trash at makeup, so any success story is exciting).

Black Crop Top: American Eagle, $8 ($1.33 per wear) | Denim Shorts: Target, $18 ($0.90 per wear), last worn here | White Sneakers: Primark, $10 ($1.11 per wear)

Sunday, September 4

The two of us went to the neighborhood farmers’ market this morning and sipped our lemonades in the shade for a while as we chatted and watched all the cute dogs walk by. We then went to this adorable hole-in-the-wall coffee shop that’s half café, half plant store—there was a lil’ greenhouse inside and swings for chairs! So cool. I dropped her off at the airport, caught up with my aunt for a bit, and then had a much-needed, lazy afternoon at my place. I am strugggling to keep my eyes open long enough to finish this blog post. I love this outfit though! I’ve never paired these pieces together and thought it was the perfect vibe for a casual Sunday.

Olive Green Sweater Tank: Francesca’s, $15 ($3.75 per wear), last worn here | Denim Skirt: American Eagle, $24 ($4.80 per wear), last worn here | Brown Sandals: DSW, $19 ($0.23 per wear), last worn here | Leopard Belt: Francesca’s, $9 ($0.90 per wear), last worn here

. . . . .

How was your week? Got any fun plans for the day off tomorrow? I hope y’all are having a great long weekend!

Miles of smiles,

Grace

  1. All of these are winners! I have skipped several ootd lately as I have gotten lazy with taking pictures.. So much to do, so little time! At least I am keeping ahead with my blog pictures. The long weekend was good to catch on some sleep. I am hoping I feel less pressed for time soon: I think this week is going to be more laid back even if i have a to do list.

    1. I think the blog photos are more worthwhile than OOTDs for me personally, so kudos to you for keeping up with those at least! Photos are so time consuming and honestly my least favorite part of blogging.
