It’s been a long, albeit fulfilling, week, I write as I can barely keep my eyeballs open on Sunday night. I left Minneapolis on Tuesday after such a fun, relaxing weekend camping with my brother and sister-in-law. It was a little tough to make it through the work week after that, but thankfully some cute outfits gave me the motivation I needed.

I just had a normal remote work day today, aside from a break halfway through to attend a Make-A-Wish volunteer training. I volunteered for the Colorado chapter very briefly in the fall, and I’m excited to get more seriously involved now that I live here permanently! In the evening, my brother, sister-and-law, and I attended a free outdoor concert and then played this super fun VR game called Beat Saber, which was basically real-life Fruit Ninja. I had never heard of it before, but I also live under a rock, so.

It was kind of a slow day at work today, and after eating dinner together, my brother and SIL drove me to the airport, boo. Thankfully my flight was only delayed 30 minutes, which seems like nothing these days, with all the cancelled flights and whatnot. I really loved today’s casual outfit and thought my purple button-down paired perfectly with my knock-off Converse.

I didn’t get to bed until around midnight yesterday, so I was sleeeeeepy at work today. I made muffins once I got home and my boyfriend came over for a cocktail night, which was really fun. This was more of a casual outfit, but you can never go wrong with mustard pants!

How stinking cute is today’s look?? It’s definitely my favorite from the week—I even wore navy striped heels to match the navy and white polka dot collar of my blouse.

As you can see, I’m still trying to figure out the best place in my apartment to take my OOTD photos. I liked the lighting and backdrop of the previous three pics best, but I can’t have a mirror awkwardly in the middle of my bedroom all the time… so the dilemma lives on. This outfit looks kind of frumpy in the photo, but I love the gingham sundress for the summertime. I didn’t have any plans tonight and decided to go to bed before 9:30, which was honestly super awesome.

My boyfriend and I had a date at Ikea so I could pick up a few things from my apartment, and as always, it was super fun to wander through the displays and discuss what we liked and didn’t like. Afterwards, we grabbed dinner with a friend and went to an arcade for a few rounds of Pacman. This outfit is very young and summery, but I thought it was perfect for the occasion.

Sunday, August 14
The boy and I grabbed brunch and then finished binging our show, “Severance”, which was SO good. But also one of the strangest things I’ve ever watched—it kept us guessing ’til the end. I just spent the rest of the day in my apartment, framing my Papyrus card collection with my new Ikea frames. My Command strips were supposedly delivered today (they’re nowhere to be found, surprise surprise), but I can’t wait to finally hang all my decorations on the wall once the mysterious package is recovered.

Which of this week’s outfits is your favorite? As always, thanks for stopping by the blog today, and I hope you have a great start to the new week.
Miles of smiles,
