Hey, remember that time when I actually used to post regularly? Yah, me too. I’m done pretending to know when I’ll get back into any sort of blogging routine, but to dramatically quote Aragorn from The Lord of the Rings, “It is not this day.” As you probably noticed, I completely missed last week’s recap. Instead of combining last week and this week, like I did a few recaps ago, I’m just going to pretend I am writing this post on June 26… so thanks for playing along.
Monday, June 20
This was my last week of “summer vacation” ever before starting my job! Since my clothes are still all over the place in random suitcases and whatnot, my outfits were a little plain this week. I just threw on this Nordstrom Rack top that I’ve had for ages and my denim shorts for a day of apartment hunting and watching the first half of the newest season of “Stranger Things”. In the evening, I guest-played for my cousin’s soccer team again and got two assists, woohoo! My dad, cousin, and I went to Denver Beer Co. afterwards for dinner + drinks.

I finished “Stranger Things” this morning, and then my dad and I went out to Boulder for the day to wander about one of our favorite antique jewelry stores. It was my dad’s last day here, so in the evening we went to my favorite restaurant in Denver, Wash Park Grille. I just threw on this thrifted maxi that I’ve been wearing on repeat!

I woke up bright and early to take my dad to the airport, and then I heard news that I was accepted for an apartment! I spent the whole day setting up my utilities, getting renters insurance, and then finally moving into my new space. So exciting!! I can’t wait to decorate it and share photos on the blog, but it will be a while until I get completely settled. I just wore the same dress as yesterday since it wasn’t really dirty.

I spent the day at a friend’s pool and then met another friend near the University of Denver for drinks. It just so happened to be bingo night—but not just any bingo, it was sexy bingo… so you can only imagine the prizes we won. My little flamingo tee isn’t much of a going-out outfit, but it was good enough.
Flamingo Tee: JCrew, $25 ($2.78 per wear), last worn here | Denim Shorts: Target, $18 ($1.38 per wear), last worn here | White Espadrilles: DSW, $45 ($1.05 per wear), last worn here

I spent all day moving stuff into my apartment, and since I live on the third floor with no elevator in the building, it took quite a while to move everything myself. Later in the evening, I got dolled up to go to a fancy dinner with my friend to celebrate my graduation and both of our new jobs. I broke out this patterned dress I thrifted in Glasgow for 8 pounds. I hadn’t worn it yet, and I very quickly realized that it rides up significantly with every step… so it’s cute in theory, as long as I don’t move! Lol.
Patterned Dress: Thrifted, $10 ($10 per wear) | Silver Heels: CL by Laundry via DSW, $45 ($2.35 per wear), last worn here | Sparkly Purse: Gift, $40 ($20 per wear), last worn here

Saturday, June 25
I did some more moving today and spent all day unpacking, just wearing workout clothes since it’s been so hot and sweaty in Denver recently.
Sunday, June 26
Some of my cousin’s extended family live in town, so they invited me to their house for brunch this morning. It was really nice to meet everyone and know a few more people in the area! In the evening, my cousin had an extra ticket to a music festival in town, so the two of us attended that together. It was fun but definitely not my type of music… It gave me tonsss of inspiration for crazy festival outfits, though! My look was very mundane compared to everyone’s crazy rainbow robes and bralettes (didn’t get a chance to snap a photo of my outfit today, but the first pic of today’s post was the view from the festival venue).

Thanks for swinging by today! I know this was a pretty lackluster blog post but for continuity’s sake, I had to share the few outfits I did wear. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
Miles of smiles,
Grace
Congrats on the apartment! Walking up 3 floors, you can pretend you are in Europe! Grocery day will be exercise day! Looking forward to seeing some pictures when you have it all decorated!

Thanks so much Mireille!! I’m excited to get settled – I still don’t have any furniture yet lol.
