Can’t believe this was my last full week in Glasgow! The last several days were jam-packed hanging out with friends and saying goodbye to everyone. I also managed to squeeze in a few more cute outfits with my capsule wardrobe, though I’m excited to swap it out with springier pieces once I get back to the States. Thankfully, I was able to do the two final things on my Glasgow bucket list this week, which was touring a whisky distillery and listening to the organ recital at the local art museum. Check and check!

I played tennis with a friend this morning—which was SO much fun—and then went to my last pub quiz in the evening. I’m going to miss the trivia and think I will try to find a bar quiz to attend regularly once I get back to Denver. I also loved today’s outfit! The maroon-on-maroon really works.

Maroon Mock-Neck Top: JCPenney, $11 ($0.33 per wear), last worn here | Maroon Moto Jacket: BB Dakota via Denver boutique, $25 ($0.42 per wear), last worn here | Black Corduroy Skirt: Francesca’s, $35 ($1.00 per wear), last worn here | White Knee Socks: DSW, $15 ($0.83 per wear), last worn here | Black Knee Boots: Clarks via DSW, $100 ($0.92 per wear), last worn here

I spent today trying to stockpile blog photos and then met up with my friend to grab dinner in the evening. Afterwards, I took her to the local Irish bar to listen to live music, and we had a great time singing along since we learned most of the lyrics to the traditional songs on our trip to Dublin last week. I was also happy with today’s outfit! It does feel very fall-ish, though.

Grey Turtleneck: Bohme, $30 ($1.50 per wear), last worn here | Maroon Moto Jacket: BB Dakota via Denver boutique, $25 ($0.42 per wear), last worn here | Plaid Skirt: JCPenney, $25 ($1.92 per wear), last worn here | White Knee Socks: DSW, $15 ($0.79 per wear), last worn here | Black Knee Boots: Clarks via DSW, $100 ($0.91 per wear), last worn here

I grabbed breakfast with a friend at my favorite tearoom this morning, watched the organ recital at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and then met up with another friend to catch-up and walk around the botanical gardens. I forgot to take a pic of today’s look, so here’s a photo of the beautiful organs in the museum instead.

I had my last stained glass class today and had to putty my pieces, which is a messy process of sticking putty between the glass pieces and lead in order to “seal” the window. I spent the afternoon passing the time in the art school before having my final exam for the class in the evening, which just entailed presenting my artwork to a couple of professors.

Grey Tee: JCPenney, $6 ($0.13 per wear), last worn here | Maroon Moto Jacket: BB Dakota via Denver boutique, $25 ($0.40 per wear), last worn here | Skinny Jeans: Express, $42 ($1.08 per wear), last worn here | Leopard Rain Boots: Ralph Lauren via Macy’s, $60 ($0.91 per wear), last worn here

I grabbed one last afternoon tea with my best friend here before saying goodbye, which was very sad! In the evening, I met up with someone else at that same Irish bar and enjoyed listening to the music. Today’s look was another cute outfit that I definitely plan on wearing again in the fall.

Maroon Mock-Neck Top: JCPenney, $11 ($0.32 per wear), last worn here | Maroon Moto Jacket: BB Dakota via Denver boutique, $25 ($0.40 per wear), last worn here | Grey Mom Jeans: Express, $19 ($0.49 per wear), last worn here | Black Knee Boots: Clarks via DSW, $100 ($0.89 per wear), last worn here

I went to a whisky distillery tour and gave myself one last chance to like whisky… but I still think the stuff is nasty, sorry Scotland. I enjoyed the tour nonetheless and then went roller skating with my friends in the evening. It was disco night, but unfortunately the DJ only played the B-rate 70s songs that sound like elevator music. Only one ABBA tune, what a sin!

Checkered Top: Charming Charlie, $13 ($0.54 per wear), last worn here | Maroon Moto Jacket: BB Dakota via Denver boutique, $25 ($0.39 per wear), last worn here | Black Jeans: Express, $42 ($1.68 per wear), last worn here | Black Knee Boots: Clarks via DSW, $100 ($0.88 per wear), last worn here

Sunday, May 1

Today was such a busy day, as I ran around town trying to say goodbye to the last of my friends! I woke up early to take a few more sets of blog photos and then went to City Centre to grab brunch with some girls. In the afternoon, I met up with another friend to walk around the park near campus and to finally try this food truck that everyone raves about—the gyros were very good, I will admit. In the evening, I went back to the pub I visited by myself on my second night in Glasgow—it felt necessary to return to where it all began—and I met two lovely American girls there. It’s such a shame, I keep meeting all these amazing people right as I have to leave! Afterwards, I went to a party with my pub quiz group of friends and said my final goodbyes to everyone.

Black Mock Neck Top: JCPenney, $11 ($0.30 per wear), last worn here | Maroon Moto Jacket: BB Dakota via Denver boutique, $25 ($0.38 per wear), last worn here | Printed Pants: Francesca’s, $15 ($2.14 per wear), last worn here | Black Knee Boots: Clarks via DSW, $100 ($0.88 per wear), last worn here

. . . . .

It wasn’t the spiciest weekly recap in terms of happenings but I for once really liked my outfits! Ending the capsule wardrobe with a bang, what can I say.

Miles of smiles,

Grace
