A few of this week’s outfits remind me of one of those “spot the differences” games on the back of a cereal box—the looks are so similar that it would be easy to think I was wearing the same thing at first glance. Anyway, my three weeks of travel finally came to an end on Friday, and it feels so good to be back in a familiar space. This coming week is going to be a really busy one as I try to catch up on all the work I didn’t do during vacation!
Monday, April 4
Today was a pretty frustrating day, as some of my travel plans fell through and I was feeling really disappointed by the situation. However, in the afternoon, my mom and I decided to go to Abbey Road to snap some pics and recreate the famous Beatles album cover. It was so much fun and just what I needed to turn my day around!

Tuesday, April 5
At least I put in a little effort with yesterday’s outfit, but today’s look was as bland as can be—just a simple sweater and jeans. My mom and I road a bus across town to explore the Royal Observatory and walk along the Prime Meridian. Afterwards, we walked 45 minutes to ride the Emirates Air Line cable car across the River Thames. Definitely not for those who are afraid of heights!

Wednesday, April 6
Monday’s outfit and today’s look vary only by the top. My mom and I got breakfast out and then wandered around in Harrod’s, the really expensive department store. It was so fun to look at all the fancy shoes (and it gave me some serious inspo for DIYing a few pairs of my own). Afterwards, we strolled through the Natural History Museum and started watching “Stranger Things” in the evening.

Thursday, April 7
My mom and I went to a short daily mass at St. Paul’s Cathedral this morning and then explored the London Mithraeum (which was very disappointing, as I mentioned in my London blog post). We spent the afternoon hauling our luggage across town to a hotel next to Heathrow Airport and scoped out the terminal where my mom would be flying from (although there was clearly some sort of security issue because half the terminal was closed off… the lines were insane).

Friday, April 8
I went to the airport with my mom and saw her off before riding the Tube 45 minutes to a train station across town. I had a few hours to kill there, and then I hopped on a five hour train ride back to Glasgow. It was a long travel day (and surprisingly emotional to say goodbye to my mom!) so I was relieved to finally make it back to my flat. I ended up just wearing the same outfit as yesterday for ease of packing.
Saturday, April 9
I stayed in bed until noon today—much needed—and spent the afternoon catching up on some blog and thesis work, as well as making a quick run to the grocery store. Most of my clothes were dirty so I just lounged about in workout gear.
Sunday, April 10
I went to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery this morning with some friends and then we all grabbed lunch together. It was so good to catch up after being gone for so long! In the afternoon, I was really productive, getting a blog post up, working on my thesis, doing my laundry, and Skyping with my brother. Boy, am I going to sleep well tonight—I’m sure tired!

Which of this week’s looks was your favorite? As always, thanks for stopping by the blog today, and have a great rest of your Sunday.
Miles of smiles,
Grace
My favorite is actually the pink sweater look followed by the checkered top outfit. It will feel like having a brand new wardrobe when you are back home!
