Phew, what a hectic couple of days! You can imagine how busy it’s been since I’m not even publishing my weekly recap until Wednesday… almost feels like a moot point this late into the week. Even though it’s been a very stressful few days, I survived my final quarter at the University of Denver after taking my last exam Saturday night. Just waiting to get a few grades back now! It feels so good to officially be on winter break, especially knowing that I’ll be heading to Scotland in January for study abroad. So many exciting things ahead!

I woke up bright and early this morning to pick up my friend from the airport before cranking out a blog post and studying for one of my psych final exams, which I took in the early afternoon. Kept things comfy and casual today for a day of chores! I love the colors in this tie-dye set but I did sort of feel like I was wearing pajamas to class (a couple of people complimented my outfit, though, which made it feel slightly more acceptable).

I spent most of today working on some tasks for my old boss and finishing up a project for my wine tasting class. I also went for a run in the afternoon—which felt so good—but I was *extremely* disappointed to realize I only ran for about 15 minutes. It felt like 30, rip. I had to do a group presentation in my wine class today, so we all decided to dress up a little—I chose this black and white pinstripe dress that I wore to my eighth grade May Crowning ceremony. Still one of my favorite pieces, and I accessorized it with a brooch and pink belt. I don’t love it with the tall boots, but they were the only option I had.

I had my last capital punishment class this morning before retaking my psych exam from Monday (because why not? The professor promised to take the highest score no matter what). I had a meeting with my old boss/advisor in the afternoon to discuss my thesis and then went to my last social psych class that night. I spent the evening at a club event with a friend working on a new Paint by Numbers project… because the last one from June didn’t take long enough.

My aunt took me to my first massage ever this morning as a birthday/going away present! We met at a day spa downtown that’s located in a really cool old house. We got to sip mimosas beforehand and then change into these fancy robes as we waited for our rooms to be prepared. It was so relaxing! The two of us grabbed lunch together afterwards before I went back to my apartment to take my wine final and go to my last wine class.

I spent *all* of today writing my 20-page final exam for my capital punishment class. It was a longgggg day, but it felt so good to crank it out. I went for a walk afterwards even though it was already dark (it was such a nice temp!) before making myself some delicious tacos for dinner and relaxing a little.

My final day of fall quarter—I spent several hours studying for my social psych exam before heading onto campus to take my final! It was very nerve-racking because it’s the type of test where you get your grade right away, but thankfully I scored well. Afterwards, I went to my friend’s apartment to meet with some of her friends to get ready together for a night out. We helped each other with hair and makeup (more like, everyone helped me—I learned lots of invaluable makeup tips) before heading downtown to bar hop. It was so much fun to celebrate after such a stressful week! And I finally got to try out that popular hairstyle with the two French braids leading into half-up buns. This thrifted mesh top is probably the most scandalous piece of clothing I own, but I felt so spicy in it!

Sunday, November 21

I spent all of Sunday packing up my apartment before going to my aunt’s house for dinner with my mom and grandpa, who came to town to help me move out. I lovvvvve packing so today was quite enjoyable!

. . . . .

Thanks for hanging with me these past few weeks as my posting has been very sporadic. Which of this week’s outfits is your favorite? Did you do anything fun last week? Having a final on Saturday really screwed with my schedule—I keep thinking today is Monday.

Anyway, hope your Hump Day is going well!

Miles of smiles,

Grace
