Coming at ya’ late again this weekend! I had a true summer week these past few days in the sense that I was super lazy and a little restless… but that’s how it should be at the beginning of summer, right? I started packing this week, had several work meetings, and lounged by the pool with my friend. It was a fun last (full) week in Denver, but I’m ready to go home now. And with that, here are my summer outfits!
Monday, June 14
I slept in this morning (I told you I would need some recovery time after last weekend) and then spent the whole day chilling around the apartment. I worked some more on my Paint by Numbers project and started packing up my decorations and bedroom—my favorite activity! (And for once, I’m not being sarcastic when I say that.)

I woke up this morning and had a Zoom meeting first-thing for my research assistant position. In the afternoon, my friend came over to my apartment’s pool and we lounged by the water for several hours! I meant to take a pic in my cute new swimsuit, but I clearly forgot… I just stayed in my suit and coverup all day. After eating a light dinner, I drove to a local park to play on my cousin’s soccer team again. I almost scored five times but could never finish—ugh, embarrassing. But it was fun nonetheless!

I was super excited this morning because my aunt and I met up at our local David’s Bridal to go bridesmaid dress shopping!!! My brother is getting married next spring, and I am so honored that he and his fiancé want me to be a part of their special day. It was a blast trying on different gowns and even browsing through the wedding dresses! I designed today’s outfit around these heels because I knew I would want some extra height while trying on the gowns (I also made sure to wear my sticky bra so that a normal bra wouldn’t clash with the necklines/straps of the dresses). Afterwards, the two of us got lunch before I went back to my apartment for a Zoom training for my job.

I had another Zoom work meeting this morning before I took some pics and got my blog post up about a fashionista’s laundry tips. In the afternoon, I ended up taking a lot more blog photos around campus, although I’m not sure that any of them are that great…boo. I spent the rest of the night reading on my balcony and working on my Paint by Numbers. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post, though, to see more of this boho outfit!

I slept in today, worked on my painting, started cleaning my apartment, and made a quick run to the grocery store. Late in the afternoon, my friend came over again and we lounged poolside before heading back to her place for dinner. We ended up watching Bo Burnham’s comedy special Inside on Netflix—he made it during quarantine, and at times it was a little too relatable! Funny, but definitely weird.

Another day spent packing and working on my painting. It feels like that’s all I’ve done this whole week! In the afternoon, I drove over to my aunt’s house to join her family for dinner and to sleep over. When we got back from our meal, my cousin, aunt, uncle, and I played badminton in the backyard, which was so much fun! It was a little too warm for this black denim jacket today, but I did wear the jumpsuit, sandals, and sunglasses.

. . . . .
I ended up staying at my aunt’s house for most of today, too, as we had a lazy morning and then wandered around a local farmer’s market. Afterwards, we hung out with my grandma a bit before I finally came back to the apartment. I just wore the same thing today as I did yesterday—although I’m now realizing that my back got really sunburnt while we were out! Yikes.
I hope you all had a great day and a fun Father’s Day, if you celebrate. I’m looking forward to seeing my own dad this week when he comes to help me move out! As always, thanks for reading.
