Fancy Pants with the Magnificent 8

I’m teaming up with seven other bloggers again today to showcase how we wear out statement pants! When I found out this quarter’s theme, I immediately knew I wanted to reach for these tropical palazzos. They’re so bold and fun, and they are by far the funkiest pants in my closet. The trouble was putting together an outfit I haven’t worn before!

I’ve styled these pants with a turquoise mock-neck top here in the summer and with a beige sweater here in the fall, but I’ve also worn them outside of Graceful Rags with just a plain black tank. I wanted something a little *spicier* for today’s outfit and tried pairing them with this floral top instead! What do you think?!

I think I love how it turned out. It’s a bold outfit, but it works because the print of the blouse is on a much smaller scale than the print of the pants (if both patterns were the same size, the outfit would look a lot busier). The blouse also has tiny mustard flowers that match perfectly with the palazzo pants, so that adds to the cohesiveness of the overall look. I accessorized the outfit with my rose gold ‘Grace’ necklace, some aviator sunglasses, my go-to elephant purse, and these white espadrille platforms.

This outfit is giving me major tropical and beach vacation vibes! I am so ready for summer and can’t wait to just lounge lazily in the sun… But until then, I still have lots of schoolwork to do. In fact, I have a midterm later today, so I’m keeping this post short and sweet so I can get back to studying!

Would you wear this tropical outfit, or is the pattern mixing too ‘out there’? Be sure to check out all the lovely ladies’ blog posts below to see how they are styling their fancy pants, too!

    1. Thanks so much, Shelbee! And yes, I thankfully did well on the test! All that studying paid off haha.

  4. I would totally wear this entire outfit – LOVE the pants! I have a similar pair in purple/pinks made from silk that are heaven in summer. Your pattern mixing is awesome, Grace.

    1. Thanks so much Sheila! Those pants sound super cute, I would love the purple/pink color scheme.

  5. These pants are amazing! I really love them. We have something similar also here (in the Philippines), it’s called the “sarong” pants – boldly printed wide legged pants that you tie around your waist. They’re mostly intended for beach wear but I’m inspired to wear them out for daily wear now! Thanks for hosting this link up!
