Time for another weekly recap! I started school again on Wednesday, and I’ve just been doing classes online until I get back to campus this weekend. My outfits are entirely composed of dresses and skirts this week because I hardly brought any pants here and it’s been so nice and sunny! Once the weather warms up, I love wearing skirt and dresses all the time. They’re a lot more flattering than shorts on me and dresses are so easy to just throw on and go whenever I’m feeling lazy.

I spent the morning doing tax stuff (gross) before heading to my aunt’s house for family dinner. After a full day in this outfit, I still can’t decide if I like it or not… This is one of my favorite skirts because it is so unique, and the red top was one of the only solid-colored pieces I brought here with me. But I can’t decide if the texture of the shirt (it’s almost smocked/sponge-like) clashes with the striped skirt and denim. It felt almost too busy.

Today was my last day of spring break! I honestly have no recollection of what I spent the day doing so… there’s that. This outfit is very casual but I love the neutrals of the black and beige together. It’s a great go-to spring/summer outfit for when I’m in a rush in the morning and need a light layer.

I had my first Geographic Statistics class at 9 am and Climatology at 11 am, both of which are for my Geography major. In the afternoon, I ended up falling asleep on the couch for about two hours before we all ate dinner outside and played Euchre.
You already know how much I love this hand-me-down dress since I shared it in Thursday’s blog post! It went perfectly with my white espadrille sandals and my claw hairclip for effortlessly casual vibes.

Today I had two classes, Geography of Colorado for my Geography major and Forensic Psychology for my Psych minor. Both were so interesting and I’m actually really excited for these classes! In the afternoon, I went to my aunt’s house to set up some decorations to celebrate my mom’s birthday. We had another family dinner with a delicious tostada bar before my mom opened her presents!
My grandma gave me this abstract purple dress, and it has gotten *a lot* of wear over the years. Usually I style it for fancier occasions, like this cute outfit I wore to my art show in high school, but today I decided to make it casual with a jean jacket and sandals.

I went to my grandpa’s office at 4 am for the last time this visit and did homework until 9 o’clock, when I had my Geographic Statistics lab for two hours. I went back to the house early today, started working on this recap blog post, and went to the grocery store with my mom. Then my dad and I spent some time by the pool! It’s been kind of chilly while we’ve been here, but yesterday was finally 87 degrees. We decided to jump in the pool and boy, was it cold! We immediately scurried out and started to bask in the sun instead. Guess 87 still isn’t hot enough for swimming.
Both this light blue bodysuit and the black denim jacket were my purchases from that Nordstrom Trunk Club box I tried last week. I love how this outfit came together and think this hand-me-down umbrella skirt is so cute! You can shop the exact bodysuit and jacket in the widget below.

. . . . .
Which of these outfits is your favorite? Do you have any fun plans this Easter weekend? I always love celebrating Easter and all the bright colors and new beginnings it symbolizes. I’m trying to convince my parents to watch The Passion of the Christ with me but they’re not feeling it, ha. Even though I won’t be dressing up again this year, I’m still excited to dye Easter eggs and maybe even do an egg hunt, too. Do you plan on dressing up for the holiday, if you celebrate?
Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of your Saturday!
Miles of smiles,
Grace
