It’s hard to believe that spring break is already in a few weeks and that we’ll be in March come Monday! Where does the time go?! I already registered for spring quarter classes this week, and I also found out that I was accepted (again) to study at the University of Glasgow in Scotland in the fall—we’ll see if it happens this time around. My dad was also in town this week, and it was SO much fun to spend time with him and catch up. Here’s what I did and, more importantly, what I wore!

I had my Remote Sensing class at 10am and a routine Covid test after lunch. When I was on my way back, I ran into my roommate and we decided to grab impromptu smoothies at the new dining hall on campus! It was such a nice day out and I actually had to shed my cardigan. My friend and I went on a walk at 4pm and had a grand old time reminiscing about college life pre-pandemic. I just spent the rest of the night doing homework and studying for my second Climate Change exam on Tuesday.

It was a very busy day! I had my 8am lecture and registered for classes halfway through. I had a slight hiccup during the process, but thankfully I got all the classes I wanted for spring quarter. My Climate Change exam was at 10:40 and it was oral… very strange and intimidating to go into a room with my professor and have her ask me questions, but in the end she graded very easily. I chilled out until my Cartography class at 2pm, and afterwards my dad picked me up! We went for a walk in a nearby park and then got drinks at the rooftop bar on campus as we watched the sunset. For dinner, we ordered takeout tacos and ate them by my apartment’s pool. So fun to catch up, and it was much needed!

After class, I spent much of the morning working for my research position and had a meeting with my boss at 12:30pm. I had every intention of taking blog photos in the afternoon, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it today… Since I skipped the usual Tuesday night dinner I do with my boyfriend, we decided to make nachos tonight instead and then, of course, watched an episode of “The Crown”.

I woke up to SO much snow on the ground! My one in-person class for the day was moved online as a result. We just had to watch a documentary and take some notes, so I stayed in my PJs most of the day and then made popcorn and drank root-beer as I watched in bed… Now that’s how online school should be done. After my Cartography class, I motored over to my grandma’s apartment and spent the afternoon with her and my dad, chit-chatting and telling stories. I had my usual 6pm meeting for the school research journal and got back to my apartment around 8:30pm. After finishing some quick homework, I went straight to bed! I have been SO tired this week. Usually I can stay up pretty late if I have to get work done, but the past few days, I haven’t been able to function past 9:30pm.

Friday, February 26

I slept in this morning and then went to office hours for my Remote Sensing lab first thing. Afterwards, I had to meet with a professor to discuss the final project I turned in on Wednesday, and thankfully he said my team did a very good job. My friend and I went for another walk at 1pm and then I had the strongest craving for a 7-11 slurpee. I called up my boyfriend, and he and I (plus his friend) went to get slurpees, which were so good but such a mistake at the same time. I spent the afternoon working and then went hot-tubbing with my roommate after dinner! Oh, but I never ended up putting on real clothes today and just lounged in athleisure… oops.

. . . . .

Thankfully I don’t have too much homework this weekend, but I do have my last Saturday class of the quarter today. The topic is Getting to Know Your Customers, so I’m excited to see what I learn and how I can apply that to the blog. I also have a lot of blog stuff to do this weekend as I race to accomplish the rest of my monthly goals! When did I become such a procrastinator? Oh, that’s right, when I started Graceful Rags in the first place after sophomore year of high school…

Anyway, which of this week’s looks is your favorite? Hope you have a great weekend!

Miles of smiles,
Grace

  1. Loved all your outfits but for some reason the first is my favorite. Glad you got to spend some time with your dad! ♥️♥️

  2. Sounds like a busy week! I hope you do get to do the study abroad you want to! When I was at uni I was really jealous my friend got to go study abroad in Canada for a semester! So much snow, and it went so well for him as he speaks a lot of French.

I really like your Thursday outfit – great monochrome style!

Hope that you had a nice weekend 🙂 It was a bit hot and humid here but we still managed to get out to the park 🙂

    1. Thank you Mica! That is so cool, especially that he got to learn French. My school has a really amazing abroad program in Australia which I really considered doing! I’ve always wanted to go. 🙂
