Happy Saturday! Has it been snowing a lot where you live? It hasn’t been snowing here yet but the temperatures have been less than 10 degrees and even into the negatives—brrr. I’m writing this post during my lunch break of a one-day Saturday course that I take for my Entrepreneurship minor, but I’m definitely dreaming of cozying up with a hot cocoa once class ends! This week was super busy for me, with lots of work deadlines and school assignments all due at once (you know how it is), so I have absolutely nothing interesting to say about the past few days. BUT here are all my cold-weather and bundled outfits!

Monday, February 8

I followed my usual Monday schedule of blog stuff, class, and schoolwork, and in the afternoon I went to the new community commons building on campus to search for rubber ducks. Yes, ducks. They were having a scavenger hunt and you could win cool prizes if you found one of the ducks, but I had no such luck! It was also my brother’s birthday, so in the evening we had a family Zoom call and played Bananagrams to celebrate. You can see another way I styled this chocolate brown sweater in this blog post (the first pic of today’s post).

Tuesday, February 9

Instead of my usual three classes today, I just had my first two courses and then a take-home midterm exam for my Cartography class in the afternoon. Thankfully it went well! It was Taco Tuesday night for dinner—mmm—and my boyfriend and I tried making a new cocktail, Agent Orange, which is mostly just carrot juice. And boy, was it carrot-y. I felt as though I could feel my eyesight improving with each sip.

Wednesday, February 10

After my one class in the morning, I participated in an hour-long workshop to provide my input about my university’s student population to aid in their marketing strategies. I was given a $20 gift card to Starbuck’s for my participation—some good ol’ fashioned bribery. In the afternoon, I ventured out into the cold to take some blog pics on my tripod. It’s been a while since I’ve taken photos by myself, and I was definitely out of practice! Not to mention, it was so cold out that my hands were noticeably red in the pictures (stay tuned for Monday’s blog post to see).

Thursday, February 11

Thursdays are always my busiest days with lots of schoolwork, a meeting for the journal of which I’m a part, and blog stuff. I started my College Creator Linkup today, but as I suspected, not very many bloggers my age know what a linkup is… so they’ve been hesitant to join. But I’m hoping to recruit more participants by reaching out to them directly on their own blogs. Fingers crossed! I also wore this new faux fur collar today for the first time, which was a Christmas gift. I don’t love this outfit, but the collar is a very fun accessory (and surprisingly warm) so I’ll have to keep brainstorming ways to style it. You can buy this exact collar on Etsy here.

Friday, February 12

It was so cold today! My roommate and I ventured out to get groceries and then scurried back to the apartment to get warm. In the afternoon, my other friend and I bundled up to workout outside, doing a loop of exercises around campus. We decided to do this new thing where we meet once a week and surprise the other person with a planned workout. She planned this first one, but on Monday it will be my turn to come up with some type of physical activity. I’m excited! Unfortunately, for the rest of my Friday night, I stayed up late doing homework. Sooooo fun.

Navy and White Sweater: Gap, $30, last worn here | Maroon Quilted Vest: Francesca’s, $45, last worn here | Black Pants: JCPenney, $25, last worn here | Snow Boots: DSW, $40, last worn here | Maroon Beanie: Francesca’s, $20, last worn here

. . . . .

Thanks for stopping by today, and be sure to let me know which outfit was your favorite in the comments below! I hope everyone has a lovely Valentine’s Day tomorrow, if you’re planning on celebrating. I’m going to make brownies and can’t wait!

Miles of smiles,
Grace
