Veronica Lodge outfit, Veronica Lodge style

Happy Saturday! I missed last week’s weekly recap (mostly because I didn’t get dressed in any outfits worth sharing), but I made sure to look a little cuter this week. I haven’t been up to much aside from blogging, my research job, playing Euchre with my family, and lotttts of crossword puzzles, but I’ve been enjoying the extra time to relax. Here are this week’s outfits!

I’m not sure how I felt about this outfit. It was too cold to wear the skirt alone and these tights were all I had available, but I’m not sold that the grey pattern goes with the floral tee—what are your thoughts? I spent the week at my extended family’s house, so my wardrobe options and accessories were very limited, as you’ll see in the rest of this week’s outfits.

I think I might have to retire this black turtleneck because it is so uncomfortable! I’m not usually one to find clothing annoying, but the neck hole for this sweater is so tight that it makes me feel like I can’t breathe. This outfit definitely needed something additional because it’s too plain as-is—I think a long necklace and different hairstyle would have kicked it up a notch.

Black Turtleneck Sweater: Hand-me-down, last worn here | Maroon Moto Jacket: BB Dakota via Wish Boutique, $25, last worn here | Skinny Jeans: Francesca’s, $20, last worn here | Black Lace-Up Flats: Nordstrom Rack, $40, last worn here

I admit that today’s outfit was very lackluster! I think pairing this sweater with a bold red lipstick and the blue peacoat from this post would make a cute and festive holiday outfit. We spent tonight driving around town to see some Christmas lights and then cozied up for a yummy hot chocolate drink. Have you managed to do any fun holiday activities this year?

Today’s look is definitely the cutest from this week! My mom helped me take blog photos in the morning, which is why my hair and makeup are done. I got this faux tweed dress last Christmas, and it made for the perfect Veronica Lodge-inspired look for my Riverdale outfits back at the beginning of quarantine (featured in the first pic of today’s post).

Today we celebrated my dad’s birthday with a hike in the foothills, lots of Euchre playing, and a delicious steak dinner. You may have noticed that I wore these jeans and black booties a lot this week!

Beige Sweater: Nordstrom Rack, $18, last worn here | Black Moto Jacket: Blank NYC via Gracie’s Boutique, $25, last worn here | Skinny Jeans: Francesca’s, $20, last worn here | Snakeskin Belt: Francesca’s, $9, last worn here | Black Booties: DSW, $45, last worn here

Which of these outfits was your favorite?? Let me know in the comments below! I hope you have a great and relaxing weekend, and thanks for swinging by the blog today.

Miles of smiles,

Grace
