Capsule Wardrobe Outfits: Week 3

Another week down, another blog post to showcase the outfits I wore! Since my school is on the quarter system, we’re already basically a third through the semester, which is hard to believe. Time moves so quickly when I’m at college, and I’m really trying this year to designate room in my schedule to appreciate the fall season and all it has to offer. What can I say, all these “fall bucket list” posts have me feeling really inspired! Anyway, here’s a look at what I’ve been wearing and what I’ve been up to this week.

I started my week off right with my first real workout since being back at school. I haven’t quite figured out my exercise schedule yet, but I did a Peloton bike ride for the first time in my apartment’s gym. It was so tough! I only had one class today and spent the afternoon time-blocking my schedule to fit in work, homework, and blog tasks. I finished the night by playing Mario Kart with my roommate!

I talked about this on Instagram, but I wasn’t crazy about this outfit… Today was the first day of fall weather, and I was SO excited for this look! But once I put it on, it really fell flat. The cropped legs and booties just weren’t working for me (or maybe it’s the sweater’s fault?). But regardless, I absolutely adore the jumpsuit on its own. I got it on major sale from Francesca’s a few weeks ago, surprise surprise.

I had my sociology and sustainability classes today, followed by more work and homework. I also watched the presidential debate with some friends and… boy oh boy. I’ll leave it at that. Oh! And I finally caught up on responding to all your comments. I’m so sorry I’ve been so far behind!

I ended up spending a little more than three hours in my GIS lab when it’s only supposed to last an hour and a half… so that was unpleasant. Then I spent the afternoon taking some disappointing blog photos for Thursday’s post. Nothing exciting today, except for maybe my outfit! I loved this olive green bodysuit paired with this elephant skirt. The bodysuit just goes with so much!

I was not super productive today, to be honest. I had two classes in the morning, did a little homework in the afternoon, and then just wasted time! I also had two club meetings: one for a research journal for which I want to be an editor, and the other was a painting night for the Southeast Asian Student Alliance (I have some friends in the club). I then went and hung out with my friend in my apartment’s outdoor hot tub for a few hours, sipping on Martinelli’s sparkling cider! It was so much fun.

I felt so painfully unmotivated today, but I managed to get some work and schoolwork done. I then went to the grocery store in the afternoon (ick) and spent the night getting the meat off a cooked chicken, which was surprisingly extremely distasteful to me. It was another wild Friday night as I stayed in to bake cupcakes for the first time! I also only just realized that I wore this sweater twice in one week, whoops.

General Thoughts on My First Capsule Wardrobe

I had a much easier time feeling inspired and coming up with looks this week. As expected, the cooler fall weather allowed me to create lots more outfit options and finally break out my sweaters. I didn’t even long for anything from home this week!

My plan for today is to crank out some work and homework in the morning and then do a big photoshoot in the afternoon… Wish me luck that it goes well! Before coming back to school, I shot a bunch of outfits in bulk so I wouldn’t have to worry about it at college, but I ran out of pre-shot content with Monday’s post… and now I’m sad. So hopefully I can rebuild my stockpile today!

Which outfit from this week was your favorite? As always, thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend.

Miles of smiles,

Grace

  1. People hear about capsules and they think it will look like they’re wearing the same thing over and over, but this just shows how much variety there is!
