Today I’m once again collaborating with the Magnificent 8 to showcase eight ways to style a white dress, no matter your age. LBDs (little black dresses) often get all the fame and credit, but what’s wrong with a little white dress every now and again instead? Absolutely nothing! That’s why seven other bloggers and I are teaming up to show just how timeless white dresses can be—while hopefully convincing you that you need one this summer! Keep scrolling to see how I styled my LWD and to learn about the other fabulous bloggers I’m collaborating with today.
Everyone raves about all the slimming effects of the color black (which, come on ladies, is that even true?), but what about all the benefits of wearing white? A white dress is a blank slate—you can go wild with accessories, bold jewelry, colorfully beaded purses, or bright lipsticks (as seen in today’s post). And think of all the fun hair clips and funky shoes you can rock that you just can’t with other colors! Not to mention, wearing white can make you look really tan, even if you’re as pale as can be, like me.
If you fear wearing white because you’re worried it will make your teeth look yellow…Fret no longer. I wrote a whole blog post about how I use Crest 3D Whitening Strips and about how well they have worked for me. Now I can rock a shiny bright white without the fear of yellow teeth!
I love how this simple outfit turned out, especially with the pop of purple flowers in the background. While wearing a white dress to a wedding or bridal shower would be poor form (unless, of course, you’re the bride), there are still plenty of appropriate occasions to don such a dress. For example, I wore this same lacey bodycon to my brother’s college graduation in May. The piece would have also made a great Easter outfit. Not to mention, it’d be perfect for less common events, like Kentucky Derby parties (but only if you have an outrageous fascinator!) or high tea. Even just a night out to dinner would be a fun place to wear this piece.
I also love the idea of dressing this dress down (repetitive, much?) with a denim jacket and colorful flats. Ooh—what about edging it up with a leather biker jacket and black studded heels? Too crazy?? Either way, the possibilities really are endless when wearing white!

Thanks so much, Jodie!! I really enjoyed this theme for the collab 🙂
Great dress! It’s always good to have a good Little White Dress in your closet.
Thank you!! I totally agree.
Grace, this dress is absolutely gorgeous and you are stunning! I would totally wear a dress like this with a denim or leather moto jacket, too! How cool. And again, that adorable orange beaded clutch. So perfect!

Grace,
Hi! I used to shy away from wearing white dresses but no more. Your choice is lovely especially in lace.
Thanks so much, Eugenia!
