Easter Sunday is this weekend (thank goodness—I’ll finally be able to eat dessert again after giving it up for Lent), and the holiday is the perfect excuse to get dressed up! Whether you’re religious and plan on going to mass, prefer to go to a nice brunch, or simply want to stay home to enjoy your baskets and egg hunts from the infamous Easter bunny, I’ve rounded up 13 of my favorite spring appropriate looks to give you inspiration for every occasion. Me? I haven’t decided on an outfit yet, but you betcha I’m going all out—dress, heels, curly hair, and makeup! Who else loves holidays and spring (and candy)? I’m so excited!
From Proper to Party: One Dress for Day and Night
I always associate Easter with bright, springy colors, but not all of us have those in our closets. No worries—dress up your favorite neutral dress with metallic sandals/heels, shiny accessories, a bold lip, and a colorful purse. Who says black and white can’t be chic for spring?
Blogging Anniversary and a Big Announcement
Give your work dress a new purpose this Easter weekend. Throw on your favorite denim jacket, white heels, and clutch and—Voila! You’ve got the cutest little Easter look (not to mention, the sleeves will keep you warm during those chilly Sunday morning breezes).
For the bold fashionista, layer ALL the colorful accessories over a simple, neutral dress. I’m talking cardigans, belts, statement necklace, purses—you name it. Do the colors in this outfit match? Not necessarily. Do I care? Not really.
Surviving School in the Spring
This might be my favorite outfit from the lot…Florals, breezy white fabric, and a denim jacket make this look the perfect mix between dressy and casual, taking you from church to brunch to even back home for the Easter egg hunt.
For a less traditional color palette, pick a bold shade like red and pair it with a colorful patterned skirt. I know for me, pastels have never looked good with my skin-tone, even though light colors seems to be the name of the game for Easter dressing. That’s why I opted for a stand-out pop of red for this outfit, instead! ‘Cause you know me, I’m such a rebel…
On the flip side, I love how springy and simple this look is with just a light blue shade and white. You can’t go wrong with that color combo! This blouse actually used to be part of my school uniform but I repurposed it by tying it in the front. How can you re-wear old pieces this Easter weekend? Head to your closet and get the creative juices flowing!
This is the outfit I actually wore last Easter Sunday—can you spot the eggs hidden in the background? While not very colorful, I opted for a minimalistic chic look this holiday and kept it all in the accessories, experimenting with brooches, hair scarves, and bow belts. As you may have noticed, this pinstripe dress is making another appearance.
And I’m back with this floral ruffle blouse, too! But this time I paired it to create a much more elegant look, with a crochet black skirt, silver block heels, and an orange beaded clutch. I usually associate Easter with white, but I don’t think that means you should shy away from black all together! It can make the perfect addition to a fancy brunch outfit.
I absolutely love the look of an all-navy outfit, and I even think it’s very springy, despite being on the dark side. The original blog post with this look is pretty old and I wish had gotten better pictures of the outfit. But alas, we’ll just have to make do with these two shots. Easter is also a great time to pull out all your fun and sparkly hair accessories, like the butterfly above!
From Proper to Party: One Dress for Day and Night
Back to this dress! This time I styled it more casually with a denim jacket, pink belt, and denim flats. If I were just staying at home for Easter, this is what I’d wear! (Gotta look good for family photos at any moment, amirite?)
Easy, Breezy, Beautiful, Makeover
Another pretty navy outfit! And you can’t dispute the cuteness of this polka dot scalloped collar. Again, pairing it with my fave white heeled sandals! Clearly there are some themes and repeat offenders happening across these outfits…
If you really want to go all-out for Easter, you can wear a pretty cocktail dress like this one. I adore the mint shade for spring and the layered silhouette is super flattering. I actually wore this dress both to my junior year prom and my senior year homecoming!
And of course, I couldn’t forget a look with pants for all you non-dress-lovers. Even though this outfit has black, the polka dot pattern mixed with the pretty aqua blouse make it more than spring appropriate! This is actually one of my favorite outfits (long braided hairstyle included) and I highly recommend something similar for Easter if skirts/dress aren’t yo’ thang.
Which one of these outfits was your favorite?? How do you plan on spending your weekend? Let me know in the comments below, and have a great Monday!
Miles of smiles,
Grace
That first dress is to die for! I love it:)
Thanks Jubilee!!
You know, I really like your style Grace! I love how you mixed the patterns of your dress and the sunglasses. Too cute. I also really liked the mint dress and the casual outfit with the aqua blouse. Both are great colors for you!
Thank you so much, Leila!! I really appreciate the comment. <3
BTW, I don’t know if it’s my browser or what, but even when I shrink my screen to 80%, the pictures are so big that I can’t see the whole outfit at the same time. Just thought I’d let you know.
Shoot! Thank you for letting me know, that’s actually super helpful! I’ve been having lots of problems with the sizing of my photos lately (especially in my emails) and am unfortunately still trying to figure out how to fix it… :/ Hopefully I can get things back to normal soon!
I’m sure you’ll figure it out. You’re young! I’m pretty good at computer stuff as long as it’s automatically doing what I want. If it’s not, well…😏
Haha so relatable. Thanks!
Hi Leila! Sorry to bother you…I’ve been trying to fix this issue of my images being too large and I was wondering if you could help me. I tried to fix it and am curious, have you noticed a difference? Can you now see the full images? Also, what web browser were you using to look at my site? Thanks so much!
Hi Grace, no bother at all. I haven’t had a chance to check out your post but I will tonight. I’m happy to help! I use chrome browser. I’ll get back to you at the end of my work day (another couple of hours ought to do it do it!)
I just took a quick look and yeah, they’re all still too large to see the whole picture at once. I made sure I had my browser at 100%, no larger. Check out my post on leopard print. I used a bunch of single pictures, all different sizes. Yeah, I just scrolled through your latest post. I can either see your head or your feet, but not both at the same time. Which editor are you using?
Hmm, okay, thanks so much for checking!! A while back a plugin screwed up my site, and the photo sizes was one of the things affected. I’ve been trying to figure out how to fix it ever since but am still working on it…I tried a “regenerate thumbnails” plugin, but I think that only made the images larger, so now it’s back to the drawing board…Thanks so much for all the help! Hopefully I can get it fixed soon.
Good luck! You used like four words up there that I don’t really understand! Haha! It’s a learning curve for sure, huh?!
Definitely!!
I always think of florals and pastels for Easter, but the weather doesn’t always cooperate. Like this year, it’s supposed to snow!! So I may be wearing pants!!
I just love your style, Grace!!
XOOX
Jodie
Ugh, I can’t believe it’s supposed to snow!! Guess it makes for more of a style challenge, haha. And thanks so much Jodie!!
Can’t choose a favorite because I really like all of them. I like the variety in choice s. I typically wear the same thing several years in a row: maybe I should be more creative!a
