Guys! Did you know this Saturday is St. Patrick’s Day?! How do all of these holidays keep sneaking up on me? Here’s the concern for the day: you want to wear green to avoid being pinched, but at the same time, you don’t want to look like a try-hard leprechaun. No worries, today’s post is all about inspiration for your green garb. 🙂

I think the key to avoid looking too green is picking an outfit you would wear any day that just happens to have green in it. For example, today’s look is something I’ve worn before to the movies. It’s just a casual ensemble, and I didn’t throw it together for the sole purpose of the holiday. Of course, if you want to go all out green with shamrock earrings and a light-up headband, I’m totally for it. 😉 I just know green isn’t everyone’s forte and can be a little difficult to style.

A great way to wear green is with your favorite jeans. Everything goes with denim, so you don’t have to worry about an unusual green shade clashing with your pants. In the past, I’ve worn this outfit with black jeans, but it didn’t have the same interest and dynamic as the blue denim does.

Because it’s still a bit chilly, I threw on my tan anorak and chose brown sandals rather than booties. The brown accents really help to break up the green and give an effortlessly chic vibe.

If you don’t have any green and decide to buy a green shirt for the holiday, or if you plan on going all-out leprechaun, this outfit can be a great inspiration for incorporating those green items back into your everyday style. You know me, I’m all about the re-wear. 😉 And if you’re totally not about this color at all, you can read last year’s post about how to wear green even if you don’t like it.

I finished off the outfit with a few gold accessories—a leprechaun never leaves her pot of gold unguarded. 😉 Are you planning on wearing green on Saturday? Do you like the color, or do you only feel you have to wear it because it’s a holiday?

Have a fantastic Wednesday! (P.S. I woke up this morning and thought it was Friday. You can imagine my disappointment when I realized it is, in fact, only Wednesday.)

Miles of smiles,

Grace
