An Edgy Valentine’s Outfit

Happy Friday! I’m so excited for the weekend after a hard week of school. Do you have any fun plans? With Valentine’s Day on Wednesday, I’ve been seeing a ton of girly outfit inspiration on Instagram and other bloggers. I love all the pink and red this time of year. 🙂 However, deep down, I’m a black-wearing kind of gal. This outfit is for all you girls that want to look festive but still stay true to your own style.

I’ve featured this pink sweater on the blog many times before, and for good reason. It’s so cozy and actually warm (I feel like a lot of sweaters are too thin and just for looks). Plus, the light pink color is the perfect solid to go with so many different bottoms.

This black leather skirt has only been worn on the blog once—as Frankenstein’s monster—but it has quickly become my favorite skirt outside of Graceful Rags. The fabric and stitching add such a unique texture to any outfit, and it seriously goes with everything.

I liked this combo paired with my black quilted boots for a more winter-inspired look, but the outfit would also look super cute with red flats or heels. I thought the red accents in the choker and purse added the perfect complement to the pink sweater! A bold red lip could’ve tied it all together, but I opted for pink lip gloss instead.

My favorite thing about this outfit is its versatility for Valentine’s Day. Going on a date? Having a Galentine’s dinner? Just want to look extra cute at school? This outfit works for all of those scenarios. I got a ton of compliments when I wore this to school yesterday. 🙂

Do you have any fun plans for Valentine’s Day? I’d love to have a nice dinner with my friends, but Wednesdays aren’t really the best as a busy high schooler. Instead, I think we’ll hang out this weekend and celebrate a little early with dinner and a movie. However you choose to spend your day, I hope it’s full of love and yummy chocolates.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend! Also, thank you SO much to my friend (who I’m sure prefers to remain nameless) for taking these photos. That last goofy pic is for her. 😉

Miles of smiles,

Grace
