Fashionable Feet: Your Guide to Staying Warm and Stylish

Hello ladies! How was your weekend? As always, mine went by way too fast. Today I thought I’d share a round-up of past posts with cute socks/tights. Since the weather is rapidly getting colder, cozy socks are a must-have, but that doesn’t mean they have to ruin your outfit! Today’s post is all about how to incorporate layers for your feet while still looking cute.

My personal favorite way to style cute socks is with a pair of ankle boots. It looks especially great if you pick a color of socks that’s in the same color family as your shoes but slightly different, like this beige and chocolate brown combo. You can see more of this brown patterned outfit by clicking the hyperlink.

Add a hint of pattern to your neutral outfit with a fun pair of socks. This is a great way to incorporate a little fun into your look or a color/pattern that you’ve never tried before. This grey, black, and blue fall outfit was from right before Thanksgiving.

This denim and black outfit was another recent post. A great way to get away with wearing a shorter skirt is pairing over-the-knee socks with knee boots. Not only does it create the illusion of longer legs, but it also makes your skirt look less scandalous! I love these unique striped socks for adding some “pizzazz” to an outfit.

If you’re feeling a little bolder, you can pair knee socks with booties. This look is harder to pull off in my opinion, just because it’s different than what’s expected (usually short socks go with booties and tall socks with riding boots). These purple lace socks look great in the fall, and they worked well with the boho dress I wore on my trip to Skamania Lodge in October.

Another way to wear short socks is by pulling them over skinny pants. This didn’t actually work that well with this particular pair of pants because they weren’t tight enough around the ankle. That caused awkward bunching beneath the socks. However, if you have the right pant/sock combo, this can be a super cute look. This grey sweater-weather outfit was from a few weeks ago in my post about why I dislike Instagram.

These photos are really old, but wearing tall socks with lace detailing underneath riding boots is the perfect way to showcase that pretty fabric. I love this grey sock/black boot combo from my blue wintery outfit.

Again with the short socks and the booties—the best way to make those socks work is to scrunch them down towards the boot. This adds a casual and “barely tried” look. This denim top and plaid skirt is probably one of my favorite fall outfits to date!

Pairing patterned/colorful socks with a skirt is a great way to show off your favorite socks (I absolutely love these blue polka dot ones, if you haven’t noticed). Clearly I like blue and neutral outfits in the colder weather.

Socks/tights can be the perfect way to tie a whole look together. These navy knee socks brought in the navy from the sweater and combined the black and blue for a matchy-matchy look—I really like how this sparkly winter ensemble turned out! Except the photos weren’t the best, clearly.

Coming in hot with some fun textured tights! What a unique and interesting way to add warmth and style to any outfit. This was a playful and kind of crazy fall look from last year.

Of course, there are just classic black tights as well. I wear these ones all the time for warmth—obviously—and extra chicness. The added black really elevates this old fashioned outfit and makes it fancier.

And some more brown-on-brown sock scrunching from this brown plaid ensemble. Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you found this post helpful and full of outfit inspo. How do you like to rock stylish socks??

Miles of smiles,

Grace
