Red and Green? Nah

It’s Friday! But I’m sure you already knew that ’cause you’ve been waiting for it for days…This has been one of those weird weeks where the days went by really slow but the week in total went by fast. I’m so glad it’s finally the weekend. Anyway, today I’m sharing my first holiday outfit of the season—read on for more details!

Everybody always wears red and green for the holidays, and that’s fun. But what if you want to try something new? Something a little spicier? Don’t worry, I gotchu. 😉 I decided to pair this sparkly navy blue sweater with my favorite forest green pants and it ended up looking so festive! I think it’s the sparkles that did. Not just any navy and dark green combo would feel Christmas-y, but throw some sparkles in there and you’re golden.

I just wore this outfit to school on Wednesday as part of my work wear. One of my friends said I looked like a night sky because of the sweater, so then I made the comment that my legs looked like trees. A different friend said my pants needed brown lines down them to look more tree-like, and I said, “Yah, that’s called leg hair.” We all shared a good chuckle. Anyone else basically avoid shaving their legs until spring? My razor goes into hibernation, ha!

I liked how this outfit turned out because it was pretty spur of the moment, but it still felt like it was lacking something. I thought maybe I could tie the scarf from this post about my favorite perfume as a belt? Would that add the necessary finishing touch? I don’t know. Until next time…

Would you ever try this color combo? Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!

Miles of smiles,

Grace
